Motorola Edge 40 Pro appears on Google Play Console with SD 8 Gen 2

The Motorola Edge 40 Pro was spotted in Geekbench's database last week, and now the device appeared on Google Play's Console. It will be a flagship-tier smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and 12GB RAM and a 1080p screen.

These bits suggest Motorola will be bringing the Edge 40 Pro as a global version of the alread official Moto X40 in China.

The stock wallpaper on the device even looks the same as the official images from the Motorola website, and we can see the 2.5D curved sides and the centered punch hole - all features seen on the X40.

The Google Play Console listing confirms the Edge 40 Pro will support Google Services; after all, that’s why it appears there. It will run Android 13 out of the box too. We'll now have to wait for an update from Motorola that will give us a potential launch window.
