Motorola Edge S teased to launch soon with Snapdragon 800 series chipset
Last year Motorola finally made a return to the flagship game with its Moto Edge+ and we now have confirmation that a new flagship powered by a Snapdragon 800 series chipset is on the way. Chen Jin who serves as the General Manager of Lenovo China’s Mobile phone business teased the upcoming Edge S via his Weibo account, confirming the flagship is coming soon and will be powered by a Snapdragon 8XX chipset which could be the Snapdragon 888 though it is still possible to be last year's 865 instead.
We haven’t heard much so far on this device though it's possible this is the long-rumored Motorola Nio (model number XT2125) which we saw in several leaks over the past months. Based on current rumors, the Moto Nio is expected to debut with last year’s Snapdragon 865 SoC. The Motorola Nio is rumored to pack a 6.7-inch display with FHD+ resolution and an unusual 105Hz refresh rate alongside a 64MP primary camera and Android 11.
