Motorola teases a new Edge series smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3
Motorola's Indian branch recently teased a new smartphone launch for April 3. The company didn't reveal the smartphone's name, but it posted an image on X today, teasing a new Snapdragon 7 Gen 3-powered phone.

Earlier, Motorola India posted a short clip on X teasing a smartphone sporting a curved display and the back panel painted with the same color used in today's teaser. The clip also said, "Unleash the New Edge," suggesting the smartphone launching on April 3 in India will be an Edge series phone.

We initially believed Motorola would launch the Edge 50 Pro that surfaced last week, but yesterday, we learned about the Edge 50 Fusion. Considering the text on the graphic Motorola sent us, which says, "witness the fusion of art and intelligence," we could see the brand unveil the Edge 50 Fusion on April 3. However, whether or not it will be joined by the Edge 50 Pro remains to be seen.
It's also worth noting that the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is rumored to come with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, while the Motorola Edge 50 Pro is said to have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip at the helm, meaning either these leaks are incorrect or there's a third Edge series smartphone that Motorola will unveil on April 3.

The event is more than two weeks away, so you can expect to hear more from Motorola about this new smartphone in the coming days.

Could be a vanilla Edge 50 since vanilla models always use upper-midrange chipsets.

Yes, the Edge 30 and 30 Pro had flat displays. Not so with the 40 and 40 Pro though.
