ravi, 01 Nov 2011I brought phone, it is good, but few unanswered questions ... moredear confirmed with customer care their is no software available for this phone,may be introduced by motorola in future.

      I have been using this phone from past 2 weeks..the main disadvantage is like you can save multiple numbers under a single entry in the phonebook. However, only calls/SMS from the primary number shows as the name. All others come as number only. This is a problem as you are unable to identify who the caller is.

          Multi-media review:
          Audio quality is too good + many useful option to customize the audio. FM shows good reception. But no wireless FM.
          Video gets recorded/play @ 25 FPS (yes, its 25 & NOT 15 FPS :- )- contradicting to what is mentioned in the specifications – also the Motorola website shows 15 FPS – but in actual its 25 FPS) – which is way good as compared to other phones, video resolution/color/pixels are limited though.
          Image viewer – may not be the best, but plays/shows the animated - ”.Gif” files, which is cool. But the image viewer doesn’t read the sub-folders, so every photo has to be kept in a single folder.

          Internet Review:
          Opera browser shows all the websites & with EDGE technology the surfing is super fast. For the users in India, I recommend to use the GPRS – instead of 3G. The browser works great under WiFi network. The only known deficiency I noticed in the browser is the absence of pinch zoom option.

          Touch Screen:
          The capacitive touch screen, allows you to navigate with ease.

          Screens:
          The screens are intellectually designed, with smart grouping of application into each of the screen. As the large icons consumes the whole screen-size – there’s no wallpapers. The base home screen can have wallpaper – but I always find it difficult to get to the base home screen (I had to press the home button twice). The themes for the icons/screens are good, but limited.

          Java:
          Yes, Java applications can be downloaded & installed.

          Keyboard:
          This is a 5 row keyboard, with a single row for numeric keys. Some people find it difficult to adjust to the single-row numpad, but I find it easy to use.


          I will term this one as the coolest smart & gadget phone, very worthy!

                These are my observations in the 2 days of owning the phone...
                1) The phone will display contact's name only if incoming calls are to the primary number.

                2)No PC SUITE available for this phone.That's gross negligence

                3)No option to deactivate phone lock.So during a call you dont see any options including call end on the screen if phone is locked
                4)Cant mute the ring tone.You can by press/holding the the side volume keys,but the set volume will change as well for all future calls

                5)The touch screen scrolling takes time getting used to as its small

                6)The first sim name on homescreen keeps scrolling between big & small caps no idea why!!!!!and the WLAN status will remain on the homescreen no matter what.Any idea how to deactivate it???

                      I want to buy a phone like this, but i want to konw: how is working the dual sim function? if i am using "line A", the other -"line B"- is functional or not?

                        Can you please tell me if the touchscreen fails, does the Keypad alone enables one to use the basic functions like making/receiving a call?
                        I am worried since this phone has no dedicated call / reject buttons.

                                  I have been using this phone for last two weeks. A nice phone having both touch and type option. Looks is smart and features are quite good with vibrant capacitive touch screen. Big icons make navigation easy. Only two down sides I have experiened so far - outgoing call graphics (phone icon with wave transmitting)gets stalled while making a phone call thus keeps me in confusion about the progress of a call. however, during an incoming call the animated graphic indicates it well. Secondly, the handset hung twice (especially the keypad) and i needed to switch off to get into its normal condition. Otherwise, the phone is a fantastic one in this price tag. Menus are very easy to deal with and fast too. Audio quality is acceptable but volume is moderate - may be an inherent problem of Motorola. Battery backup is also not upside and 3 mp camera captures decent pictures. A value for money product; at least for those who don't expect much from a so called inexpensive machine and enjoy life with less coplexity!....cheers!
