ok our last try . .
do this:
1. delete all the contacts in phone memory(dnt forgt,you should copy the numbers by writg it on your book)
2.master reset your phone.
3.switchoff
4.remove the battery ,sim,memory card.
5.insert your sim,battery and memory card.
6.switch on
7.then the phone shows dis msg: 'copy all your sim card contacts to phone memory?'
8.select yes
9.make a call from a no..wch is in your contacts.
i hope it will work.will pray . .
try it and do reply BOSS.

guys sorry for the late reply.i was busy!
guys believe me...my phone reads d phonebook perfectly.
if your phone doesnt,copy all your sim card contacts to phone memory.it will defently work.
overall the phone is good ! looks costlier . . good for showingoff...

The thing is the phone is not capable of reading the phonebook from SIMcards on incomming calls, but when the phone memory is default for phonebook the calledID on incomming calls works just fine. So guys dont worry if u plan to buy this good looking phone , just go ahead. I received it today only, and it intaially took sometime to come to above conclusion.

Ak, do one thing. U register ur phn in their site n giv a feedback regarding this problem. K. . ? Then, I wud lyk to knw hw d phn perform in other areas. Apart frm dis pbm, is evrythng gud wit this. . ? Wifi is thr ryt. . ? Xpcting a review frm u. . .

I ordered the same phone from flipkart , I will be delivered in a day or two. I keep my fingers crossed, to see if the phonebook feature worked, or there is something that Motorola cutomer support team missed, or Booss from Kerla Missed in something in his review.

Til nw they hvnt responded. So i wud lyk knw ur software version n also dat wit phnbuk pbm. If both r diff softwre versns then i thnk old one can b updated n solved, then its ok to buy frm anywhr. I hv bought items frm a no of sites n knw dat flipkart's service is d bst. But dis much diff in price is sumthng to consider. . . N also i wish to knw hw many msgs can b saved in inbox n does dis phone hv a pc suite to connect n sync wit pc. . ? I did order this phn n didnt get shipped jst bcz it bcame unavailable in dat site. . . Am a music lover n lyk to hear music only via headphns. . . So its not a pbm 4 me. . .

Hey, how can I see phonebooks of both sims at the time? It only allow me to choose sim1/sim2/phone.. Don't show two sims' phonebook as in ex115.. Thanks!

man,are u mad buyng micromax?u know...micromax's SAR(specific absorbtion rate-radiation)is above 1.6 .wch is very high...dont buy it dude.
i was also worried after reading about the problm dat it doesnt read phonebook etc.ITS TOTALLY WRONG MAN!i got the phone 2 days back and it shows evrytg perfectly...cool phone,super looks.TRUST ME...
you can buy it from flipkart..its avaliable.its in stock... if are looking for a music phone..dont buy dis..volume is bit low..wen u play songs in speaker.but in headset..its EXCELLENT...I shud sayyy.....!!!! Dont be tensed,get d phone fast..u wont regret

I got interested in this phone and i did order this phone online. But the order got cancelled since it was unavailable. Now when i was again going through the reviews came to know this problem with phonebook. Is there no solution to the problem? Atleast with a software update. . ? In flipkart one review said that the problem was solved for new stock. I would like to know more about this. Please help. . . Otherwise i think i must go along with buying Micromax a52 or something else. . .

what i am going to say is 100% true and i am a certified buyer of motorola ex226.
Orderd the phone on 6th august 2012 morning and delivered on 13th.
It took 7 days.the shipment is from Delhi...7 days is reasonable time.im okay wid dat .but i hd travelled 13kms to receive d courier from Thiruvalla...no blue dart couriers in our town.
ok now about the gorgeous looking fabulous phone:

The true specifications are,
dual sim,2.4 inch capacitive touch and type,qwerty keypad,3.15 mp camera,wifi,3g,bluetooth,910 mah lithum ion battery.
guys the phone has WIFI in it.in gsmarena,flipkart..its not mentioned..i was surprised to see d wifi writtings wen i opened the pack.wat a sexy mobile.i shud say...motorola phones are d best looking and has classy design.the mobile is sturdy and good built.touch screen is Awesome....its super fast and feather touch.really superb!display clarity is also good.approx 165 pixel density..which is good enouch for 2.4 inch screen.
The camera is fabulous . . . wid video recording@30fps...which is spectacular!
the voice clarity is crisp and its really good.
(i need to check the music quality...will tell u later)
den about the keypad....wow..no words...superb!stress free typing..good for your fingers!
for the looks i will give 9.5/10.
only disappointment is d screen size...it would have been much attractive wid 2.8 or 3 inch.but i thnk for better battery backup,the engineers wisely designed it wid 2.4 inch.
Battery: now..i cannot say anytg about the battery..becz...its brand new and i just chargd once.the battery is also nice guys.i was much concerned about the battery...becz im a heavy texter.now im happy.910 mah is good enough.
**There are rumours like the phone doesnot read the name of the person who is calling and while receiving text messages etc etc.i should say,DIS IS NOT TRUE!
my phone shows the name of d person wen i receive calls.no problem.
i thnk dre wre such problems wid 2011 manufactured ex226.mine is june 2012 model . .Motorola engineers hd alrdy rectified dat problem.buy only from flipkart...u will get the new stock.
dont buy dis phone from infibeam,sulekha or anytg wre d price is less...dey will give you old stock.TRUST FLIPKART ONLY!
overall the phone is worth for this price...it has a blackberry looks..its good for people who is looking for a different model.
dont buy touch and type phones like nokia asha 202 etc.ex226 is way better dan those craps!
*No USB cable is provided.its d only con!no problem its available everywhere and is cheap.
I REALLY RECOMMEND DIS PHONE....GO GET IT FAST !!

guys please tell me....how to OFF the vibration?i got a new phone..and im not familiar wid its operations.wenever i touch the screen(select something)the phone vibrates...i mean for each selection it vibrates(1 second)its irritating and it will waste battery.i hope u guys will help me soon. .

Dont buy,
Handset is good and sexy... but does not read contacts from Phone book whenever u receive a call or message....
I called there customer care and the say that this f*** feature is not available on this crap phone....
I am going to file a complain against them on customer court of India......
