Caller ID fix for Motorola EX226
First, store all your contact details to SIM, if more than 250 contact is there, then do it for multiple time by backup SIM contact to other phone or computer as csv file.
Then remove your SD card if it is there, and delete all your contact from phone memory, switch off and insert the backup SIM, but don't insert SD memory card and copy ally your contact from SIM to phone memory (please note not to SD card)then switch off and turn on again.
Now go to phone book menu, select phone book settings, then change preferred storage option to phone.
Now your phone will show all your caller ID, I hope so, this way it worked for me.

This phone is very very good...i m using since 4-5 months..it does not have any singe problem..touchscreen is very good camera is good..best in its class..my phone fells down daily but its amazing phone as there is no effect........the only thing where i m dissappointed is that it does not support whats app..... overall luv this phone n i m a fan of this phone..every one should buy this especially youngsters

guys....dont buy this phone....touch is not responding...i hv bought dis mobile 9 months ago....also it sometime hangs....goin to service center tomorrow...caller id problem is also there as u all know....n i dont think it will support whatsapp etc.... i m dissapointed...

pls dont buy this mobile !!! it is poor than the korian set!!!!! mobile is outdated model and the price is more higher for this mobile!!!! this mobile ill be worthy of 1000 rs that is only for its design!!!! other than that this is a poor and most ugly mobile with poor facilities!!!! pls pls pls dont buy this!!!!

I have this phone, and i fort its a given that you can have text tones repeating until you look at your text and that you can customise the tones. Even the most basic phones from year 2000 can do that, but not this phone?
This phone is just really poor. It's stylish, and has wifi, but moto fall on there faces over basic software? it's a shame...

You have that option for a ringtone, but not for a text tone

when you get a text message, it only alerts you once and there is no way to make the phone alert you every 2 mins or so...
does anybody know how you can make the phone repeat its message alert?

i have this phone and a way to put caller id on is to manualy type every number on ur "dial number" then save it.
