Received the phone today. The phone seems great- everything what I expected and even better (on pictures it looked little too glossy and fashy).
First what focused my sight is very big keypad. If letters on it were as well big the phone would be perfect for seniors. For me the big keypad seems very comfortable and great, for some with smaller hands it might be a problem typing the distant keys.
The system on it seems simple and easy- similar as it was on my nokia c3-01 with almost nothing unnecessary for simple everyday telephoning.
TFT display is clear and big. I like the external display with the led type clock- didn't find yet a function to turn the clock on permanent but it would be useful.
Don't know yet about the battery life but the written in specification 417h could be twice longer with this simplicity.
One interesting thing is the "breath LED"- a pulsing soft LED light display where the "motorola" text is- if turned on it pulses when charging. I think it's completely unnecessary but looks cool.
In total as I think it's simple and very comfortable phone.

nany, 06 Apr 2012is the gleams price really this high? 270 euros?Don't know where you seen 270 euros. The recommended price as i read is about 100 euros, I received it for 80 euros.

In Spain this phone costs about 90€.
I think that the phone size is very large when it is open.

Anonymous, 28 Mar 2012dude where did u order it from ?????? Its no where to be found.Ordered from German ebay in 28.03.12. Have not yet received it but everything seems OK. Didn't find it in any motorola official sites but today (02.04.12.) it appeared in motorola.com German site.

Already ordered! Ther's really nothing in market with such handy keyboard, thin, simple (without many unneeded functions) and not cheap look... searched and watched many phones! Only the battery could last much longer..
