Why has Motorola released a flip phone in this generation when touch screens are a norm and possibly getting old too.
Is this phone priced under 40 dollars. I think not.

IMO, the Gleam+ can appeal to both young and mature phone users.
Still, my RAZR2 V8 beats them both in design :)

Hope this can come cheap. Love the design. Maybe a better battery should be considered with the next flipping phone. Android sucks and I got tired of ios, so willing to pick up a real phone~

I think feature phones are still useful for younger uses or older uses who don't need all the advanced features.

i had the Motorola gleam and will definitely wait and but this one as well cause this phone is stylish. and to keep it simple "its classic style redefined". also all the latest smartphones are so boring rim ones in particular. cm on guys get a life u need something that looks sleek and classy in your hand rather having a soap bar to be honest

AnonD-16764, 10 Feb 2012I know Moto have had hard times, but if you want to go down... moreThe latest high end flip phone by Motorola should be the MT810, being a "dual touch screen" (yes dual!) Android based phone!
Too bad Moto only offered it in China and cost a fortune, around over UD$600, as it supported both CDMA and GSM.

Looks great, but I wish it had a bit better specs, my ancient V1075 had more features. Too bad Motorola made their flip phones low-entry only. I wonder if this was actually made by Motorola or just branded. Still, I like it.

Great looking and hope it will keep the price of the current gleam.
This is a wonderful phone for those who actually use their phone as a phone. Real affordable phone, even more so than the ugly Doro phones. With large display and buttons, it should fit the use of both the very young, old and everyone in between that does not require high end smartphones.

I know Moto have had hard times, but if you want to go down the clam shell route (I think you watch too much vintage Star Trek!), why not produce a HIGH spec version? Something maybe with a Casio concept screen with insane dpi and something original like inbuilt projector or even a mini Evo 3d? Something unique Moto....what American design used to be about.....lost the plot Moto....sad.

Thought I was looking at a web page from 2006.....back to the future. Maybe Moto dug up their original V3 design and mistakenly sent it to China for manufacture?
