KRZR is a very nice step forward for Motorola. I've had 5-6 different Motorola cellulars so far, and this time they really corrected some "serious" problems.
I'll skip the looks, the size, and come straight to the point: if you ever had a v300/500/525/600 Motorola, or v3/v3i model, you're gonna love this one. Function keys (side ones) are finally on the body, and not on the "cover" of the phone; software is faster an better arranged; phonebook is different - you can now add more data to a contact with more ease than before. Camera is very good (not exactly comparable to SonyEricsson MPix cameras, but it's far better then on v3/3i models); now the TF card is officialy up to 1GB, meaning you'lll be able to put at least 2GB cards in (just like on previous models).
And the best of all: modding, what made Motorola famous, is still the same! Almost all the seems work, flashing & flexing is still here, with all the modding & more!
I reccomend this phone to a regular/advanced user - only if you're a highly business-oriented user, but if you were that you'd be looking at Blackberry now, and not at this stylish-head turning-eye catching-brand new Motorola jewel.

Hi,I have had this phone a couple of days and think it is great!! Can anyone tell me if you can put the phone on 'silent'? as I cant seem to do it. Also, when the text messaging is on itap mode how do you insert a word that it doesnt recognise?Please email responses to adele18@gmail.com, thanks

can anybody tell me if you can put your own ringtones to the text message ringtone as im thinking of buying this phone in the silver and like the look of everything about it but just need to know if you can do this feature on this handset. many thanks

Alot of people are complaining about finger prints on their phones. The best way is to get a clear plastic screen protector from ebay or something and stick it on. Looks 100% natural and it doesnt have the fingerprint imade on it. Bloody awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just checked again, I don't have the Moto ring tone in my phone. Is it because its Cingular phone? Can someone forward it to me? :)

I have had my unlocked gsm k1 for about a month & I love it. It came w/the moto ringer, love the mp3 player, watching videos & listening to everything in stereo bluetooth. A step up from the much copied Razr.

it has the hello motto sound if you go in to media then sounds you will find it there :)

This is a Motorola phone and it doesn't have the Hello Moto tune, go figure?! Can someone tell me where to download it...I like :) Thanks! PS I tried to copy it from my friend's RAZR, but its locked.

There is no animations on this fone apparantly motorola didn't feel the need to put any on and won't be putting them on new fones

Got my K1 yesterday (Sivler Rose color). Stylish and reasonably easy to navigate. Need software to manage Phone Book from Laptop. Found a page on Motorola website talking about Mobile PhoneTools® version 4 - 77718 {PhoneTools® PC620. Communicate (E-mail, SMS, Web), sync (Phonebook and calendar) multimedia (create, download and manage ringtones, screensavers, images, audio and video clips) and keep yourself organised.} Sadly no option to download this software. Can someone help please....

Am i the only Rogers customer with a KRZR who uses the datebook? My datebook takes it upon itself to reset the time for all of my scheduled events by randomly moving them ahead anywhere from 6 to 12 hours. At the moment the datebook is unusable. Sounds like SW to me. Motorola product support is looking into it. Meawhile I set an event, had Rogers tech support reset the tower and when the phone came back on the scheduled event was shifted until the next day. The clock time is always ok. anybody else?

Got the K1 a few weeks ago and I think its great. I've been a Nokia user for years and it took a while to get used to the differences. My only concern is that the the battery life is next to nothing when I use the MP3 player, is this normal?

i have the same problem with qwerty
my home screen says 'message full' but i only have 30 brought over from the sim memory..
btw i still have 18 mb memory on my phone and i have a 1 gig microsd aswell.
What is wrong???

Is any of the owner of KRZR facing prob with the phonebook?
At first im able to search the contact in my phonebook, but after i messed up the settings, now im not able to search my phonebook anymore.Whenever i type in the name, it will not jump to the contact, instead it just stay there.
Any idea? Thx in advance.

i just got the krzr today but it says on the main screen "message full" and there's just 30 messages on there which were the ones saved on my sim from my old phone
what's wrong??
