Sorry man, but Moto phones are not meant for halfwits. You are right though, you should stick with Nokia.

I just received the KRZR and I think it is awful. It could not detect other devices using bluetooth, and the ring tones are too quiet. I also don't like the glossy front - shows up every finger mark!! I was also unable to allocate a tone to text messages, and the button tone would not switch off. A real dissapointment. Needless to say, I have returned the phone to store, and am exchanging it with a trustworthy Nokia. To all of you who think this phone is the best thing since sliced bread...you are all soooooooo wrong!

haha...one more response...comparing the D900 to the KRZR...no comparison in quality or looks, go for the KRZR.
d900 gets worn out easy due to the slider being low quality, and gets grease marks all over the rubber (given the krzr does get fingerprints on the glass, but these wipe off easy whereas on the d900 the grease can stain the rubber)

oh, one more note...the CDMA KRZR k1M gets a 1.3mp Camera instead of 2.0 in the Americas (asian still has the 2.0)

In response to recent comments:
i. Easy to flip with one hand.
ii. Can store many texts - don't know exact number, but likely only limited by the storage capacity of the phone's internal memory...which will be more than you'll ever need.
iii. K1=gsm K1m=CDMA , so not comparable...k1m has multimedia buttons on the outside.
iv. as far as mp3 playback, in player mode the songs are navigable on the main screen, not sure if you can set it up to be able to navigate with the external softkeys...i dont listen to music on my phone so maybe someone else can fill this in

is the krzr easy to flip? like do you have to flip it with two hands or is it easily flipable with just one hand?
and if you're listening to music, how would you scroll to different songs since there isn't a music shortcut on the front like the krzr k1m
and should i get d900 or krzr?
d900 - better features
krzr - better looks

I don't know about other parts of the world, but I am on the Rogers network in W. Canada and I have had absolutely no problems with this phone quality or signal wise. Its a solid phone, and the glass cover is really nice. Its slim, light and as I am preferential to flip-fones (clamshells), the looks are top notch. I bought a Cingular pouch for it off of ebay and it clips right to the inside of the pocket and you hardly know its there. I shopped around for months to pick a phone and I couldnt find another phone with as good of looks as the KRZR K1 (blue, black or silver). True, I did base my decision largely on looks, but the looks are backed up by quality (which unlike the early RAZRs was not the case).
Feature-wise you can obviously get better, but i am not worried about 3g internet access and all that...thats what PDAs and laptops are for. It has a built in mp3 player which in my opinion is all a phone really needs. The camera in adequate lighting is very good and the video-cam records on the larger size format (380X240 or something like that). Needless to say, for a 2mp camera phone it is impressive, though you do need good lighting (but this is true for any camera phone). If you want top notch pictures, carry a real camera with you.
I think most of the complaints on this phone are from people expecting too much from a phone period. I have owned 6 different phones now and this is my favorite overall thus far. If you have signal problems its the network you are on.
As far as the time resetting problem experience by users with non-branded phones, that can be helped by using a SEEM editer to add the auto update menu and turning it to ON (google this for more information).
Other recommended phones that i have used:
Sony Ericsson K or W series (e.g k790; all depends where you live and what freq. your service provider uses)
Nokia N series (e.g N73, N91)

my batteries actually last 4.5 days on standby and around 4 hours playing music non stop. So if your battery only last a day its probably the battery and not the phone. Its a great phone, I even dropped it in soapy water one day for 4 seconds and water did not even get inside the battery compartment or anything. Worked as if nothing happened.

This thing looks incredible, has an awesome screen, and very practical, for those wanting a lot of features and options...well this phone is not for you, its very obvious from the looks of it, that this phone is made for looks more than for features, so with this takin into consideration...this phone is incredible

My battery lasts ONE day- I CHARGE IT, FULL CHARGE IN THE MORNING, DEAD BY SUNDOWN.. I dont use it that much...this totally blows, being that the phone is brand new- anyone have any suggestions / reasons why this would be happening? I am ready to take the phone back.
Thanks! CS

Alright look.
You people are lame.
If you don't like the krzr then just shut up.
You aren't the only person in the world.
Maybe some people like it.
Oh and don't bother trying to say something to me.
I wont ever be back to look at it.
