Hi everybody. I live in India and I got my Milestone 3 days back and oh boy, what a phone!!!!! I have used P1i,Blackberry,HTC, but this one beats them all hands down. I am madly in love with this one.
I only have one question though, I imported all the phone numbers from the SIM card to the phone, there were total 210 names and numbers but when I am opening the contacts its showing only 165 names and moreover some of the names does not have any numbers attached to them. when I am tapping on such names its showing that "no additional information available for this number". but when I am opening the All Contacts folder the other names are showing. Pls suggest what to do? Thanks in advance.

Anonymous, 08 Apr 2010Does it have office applications....like word, pdf, exel etcOffice ?

There is Qickoffice if you upgrade to Android 2.1/ The free Quick office version can read only files like Word . Excel PDF ( Itested) . Paid version will able to edit files. I plan to buy Quick office soon.

100 Moto, 08 Apr 2010Poor N900 users...they can never enjoy the best communicati... moreI am sorry but I have a Droid and an N900 and I prefer the keyboard on the N900 way over the Droid's keyboard. The keys are to small on the Droid. What are you talking about communication quality? I dont have any problems with communication on my N900. I like the Droid I have but when it comes down to it I use my N900 alot more than my Droid.

Hello everyone, I m perhaps the most eager fan of LG mobiles...thanks to their sleek designs. but i am worried about the future of the company since they are offering nothing when it comes to smartphones.Since the success of their Chocolate kg800 (the older one), they have been focusing on fashionable devices. Look at KF750 secret, GD900 Crystal, Viewty Smart, Shine ,BL40 new chocolate and now this on GD880 mini. All of these are amazing looking phones, but....what about OS. These are just feature phones( in other words DUMB phones). Now if they continue in the same way, what will happen to them in the nextone to two years. I am sure they will have to leave the third place for sony or MOTO. LG has not released even a single high end device after new chocolate BL40 (back in september 2009).Their sales are increasing but profit is decreasing. All of my dear friends! WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SUGGEST TO LG TO CONTINUE ITS SUCCESS IN MOBILE ARENA.
                      Worried Fan.

Anonymous, 08 Apr 2010haha. the ratings decreased! haha. good. poor Droid! n90... morePoor N900 users...they can never enjoy the best communication quality, they cannot enjoy the best value for the $ like Milestone / Droid users.

Oh, I forgot N900 users can only DREAM to have an N900 to be 13.7mm thick with 4 rows of keys.

Anonymous, 08 Apr 2010haha. the ratings decreased! haha. good. poor Droid! n90... morewhile N900 can be over clocked to 900Mhz, this can ve over cocked exactly to 1Ghz,

the rating came low, coz all day the droid jealousy N900 fans come here and rates this to go down, coz they now N900 cannot beat droid sales or it is no better than this, thats why N900 people are here, but droid fans are not in N900 forum

The new gadget in my purse is the Motorola Milestone, which is known as the Motorola Droid south of the border. This smart phone runs Google’s Android operating system. It’s now available from Telus for $149.99 for a 3-year term. Here are a few of my favourite features, and some areas where I think the device falls short.

                                    Great Google integration

If, like me, you spend a lot of your life using Gmail, Google Calendar, and other Google features, when you set up the Milestone it’s a breeze to sign in with your credentials, meaning your Google-related communications are always in sync (of course, you can also easily set up other e-mail accounts that exist outside the Google world).

                                    Handy full keyboard

As much as I like typing on a touchscreen, there are times when I like the keyboard experience. With the Milestone, you can choose either. Not only does this allow for quick messaging and searching on the 3.7” touch screen, but if you have a long e-mail to write the keyboard comes in handy.

                                    Growing Android Marketplace

Although there are more than 100,000 iPhone apps available now, the Android app store is growing quickly. There are already thousands of useful downloads, such as Twidroid for managing your Twitter account and Facebook for Android. Like iPhone apps, these are paid and free.

                                    Sturdy and functional design

You will have to use it to believe it, but there is something nice about the way the Milestone fits in your hands. It lends itself to an experience that is more like a tiny netbook that sits in your palms than a phone.
