Motorola MILESTONE

The DROID offers pretty loud ring tones, while its vibro alert is not as good, unfortunately. As far as call quality is concerned, it proved to be a fine performer. All in all, I have no gripes with it on this front.
Given that my main phone these days is the N 97, plus I've got the Hero as my secondary phone, I was elated to get the mix of these two devices in the Motorola Milestone. Hero's flexibility and interface speed with a keyboard that tops that of the N 97. Surprisingly, the Milestone is a decent phone with great build quality and a dazzling display.
Those who are looking for a QWERTY-enabled device jam-packed with features and a likable, speedy interface, the Milestone is the way to go. In fact, there aren't many phone like that out there - maybe the N 900, but it's considerably slower, less stable and doesn't offer comparable functionality out of the box. In my opinion, the choice is very clear and N okia is not what's on my mind. "Milestone" is a very fitting name for this phone - it will make an impact on the market and won't go unnoticed. Those who are into expensive and well-crafted things, should definitely put the Motorola Milestone on their short lists.

I gave my iphone 3Gs for a Droid, because AT&T's service is so bad. What a disappointment in the 5.0 mega pixel camera the droid has. The 3.2 mega pixel camera in the iphone 3gs takes far better pictures and the landscape keyboard in the droid doesn't compare to the iphone either. The droid doesn't always register after hitting a letter, cause for more back spacing. Guess for a better signal I will have to live with it.

I'll simplify things for you, a pre-production phone is still being developed and tested. There are going to be design flaws, OS bugs, etc... You seem to lack the ability to understand what a pre-production phone is, and are complaining because the product had design and OS problems.
You failed to understand something that wasn't clearly explained to you, therefore the Milestone is too complex for you.

i happened to get a hands-on with a pre production version of this handset...After two minutes of use it started pissing me off, switching to telephone mode and typing number like 77778 even when i placed the piece on the table....The build quality and the looks were good...But the software really irritated me .... Screen response was pathetic... MAy be b'coz it was a pre production version....Motorola guys i was a fan of urs during those early days when u released L6 and L7...But now please come and get back ur customers....

I would say that best phone depends on need of the person. I was very skeptical of Iphone. I though it was to high a price for a phone with its specification. However, when I bought it, I loved it. It had great music, video and big point for me gaming and applications were the decisive factors. Since then I have used couple of Androids and new HD2. Still looking for phone which will chalenge the Iphone. I am looking at Milestone or N900 (weight of the phone is not an issue for me). I will decide on the basis of which has better applications, games and multimedia feature. Though Droid has its plus points, so does N900 with built in large amount of Codecs support. I will wait for the time, as I want to be sure I invest in something good. I don't believe that any phone can kill any other phone, I am just looking for better phone. I am not a loyalist to any company. I have used Motorola, SE, Nokia, O2, Imate, HTC, Samsung, Iphone for over decade. I do not love any company but my phone. I still use Motorola V6 - which was love at first site. I hope Milestone mesmerizes me again for Motorola. Peace.......
