I hope this is not an Attempt to rival with Nokia N97 and SE XPERIA X2. But i think this phone will get slaughtered by Nokia and SE. However, kudos to Motorola for a good try. And as far as the comments many people like it. Motorola is just not my taste. No offense to Motorola fans. Hopefully Motorola will get to the level they were at the late 90's and the early 2000's and stop using cheap materials.

this phone is realy unrivaled and beter than all smartphone today n900,omnia,hd2,x10 or iphone
this is new class and technology
i want a droid but I'm not sure where to buy it. I know Best Buy is doing the instant $100 rebate rather than the MIR debit card VZW is doing, but I have a $100 credit towards a new phone on my Verizon account. Can I use that credit at best buy or do they not have access to that?

Verizon's Droid: The Reviews
• PC World: "The first Android 2.0 phone impresses with a strong suite of Web features and a stunning 3.7-inch display, but some users might have trouble with the shallow keyboard."
• The New York Times (David Pogue): "The Droid wins on phone network, customizability, GPS navigation, speaker, physical keyboard, removable battery and openness (free operating system, mostly uncensored app store)."
• The Wall Street Journal (Walt Mossberg): "It's the best super-smart phone Verizon offers, the best Motorola phone I've tested and the best hardware so far to run Android. I can recommend the Droid to Verizon loyalists who have lusted for a better smart phone, but don't want to switch networks."
• Time: "The Droid is without a doubt the best Android device currently available; it's also the best phone Verizon has to offer and it doesn't hurt that Verizon is the best network. ... [It] comes in a close second to the iPhone in terms of a seamless user experience."
• Gizmodo: "If you don't buy an iPhone, buy a Droid. It's the best phone on Verizon, and with Android 2.0, the second best smartphone you can buy, period. It's flawed, deeply in some ways. But it's the second best phone around, on the best network around."
• Engadget: "It's hard not to recommend the Droid to potential buyers eager to do more with their devices. It's easily the best Android phone to date, and when you couple the revamped OS, Verizon's killer network, and an industrial design straight from a gadget enthusiast's fever-dream, it makes for a powerful concoction."
• Boy Genius Report: "We absolutely love the Motorola Droid. It's a perfect storm between awesome hardware, great software, and a great network."
• SlashGear: "The Verizon Droid by Motorola sets the bar for all new Android devices and is arguably the best Android device to date. ... While the Droid lacks the Apple handset's finesse and polish, it's only a few steps behind."

Running the Android 2.0 operating system, the Droid is capable of multitasking and features unique options such as integrated turn-by-turn GPS navigation.
• The Droid connects to Google's Android Market, which features roughly 10,000 downloadable apps.
The Droid costs $199.99 when bought with a new two-year contract. In most instances, however, you'll end up paying $299.99 up-front, then getting $100 back via a mail-in rebate.

actually motorola milestone is a good phone, it has qwerty keyboard, 16M colors, multitouch and many features but what are the things for if the cpu is only 550MHZ ? 550MHZ is not enough for android 2.0 version + a lot of features, yes i agree that milestone has many features but i cant enjoy those things at full perfomance coz the cpu perfomance is limited also the battery is weak for the features, maybe it will have some bugs or lag or slow..it is not comfortable...
i think x10 will be the best android phone and it is just beginning, SE has promissed to us that they will upgrade the x10 to android 2.0 so it will have multi touch and features like milestone too but it will be better than milestone because of the CPU ( !GHz )
the features can be downloaded in android market..every android phone can download the features so it is not special for me..
X10 is special for me because of SE, SE will make many applications exclusively for X10, no the other phones can download the application.the firmware's always updated.
"Sony Ericsson’s open approach gives consumers maximum choice and with the XPERIA™ X10, users can download any application that they want direct from a wide variety of stores including PlayNow™ and the Android Market™, co-creating an experience that is entirely unique to them."
"The UX platform builds on top of the Open OS and creates a unique Sony Ericsson user experience by combining best-in-class entertainment features with signature applications, unrivalled integration of social media services and a rich graphical user interface. The XPERIA™ X10 is the first mobile phone to truly humanise the way people interact with their phones."

After US and Germany, the Motorola Milestone is finally made official in Brazil. According to UnwiredView, the Motorola device will be the country’s first Android 2.0 smartphone.
The Motorola Milestone also known as the Droid in the US, is equipped with a 3.7-inch TFT multi-touch display that offers 854 x 480 pixels resolution. As far as the connectivity features are concerned, the Motorola smartphone offers HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity, GPS as well as Wi-Fi. The QWERTY phone incorporates a 3.5mm headset jack and a 1400mAh battery.
The Milestone offers around 390 minutes of talktime and up to 350 hours of standby time. The side slider supports Push Gmail, Push Exchange, IMAP and POP3. It measures 2.4” x 4.6” x 0.5” and weighs about 165 grams. The smartphone is inclusive of an accelerometer and 8GB microSD card expandable up to 32GB.
The pricing and availability details of the Android driven handset are still under wraps. However, it is expected that the Motorola Milestone will be made available in Brazil before this year end. It may be launched by Brazilian network carrier TIM.
