Moto Droid is $200 in the US with contact from Verizon. Nokia's N97 costs $600+ unlocked. The N900 will probably cost even more.
If this phone and the OS can work well, this phone will be very, very popular in the US.

Got my Droid and absolutely love it. No doubt the fastest phone. Even with high expectation, I am still pleasantly surprise by how fast it load the page.

Oh, Android 2.0
the Droid delivers on much of the hype. The display is gorgeous, the Android 2.0 updates are excellent, and the handset is lightning fast, particularly for an Android phone. We'll refrain from using the dreaded "iPhone killer" expression, but comparisons between the two devices are obvious, and we see the Droid as a real competitor to Apple's device. On the downside, we weren't crazy about the keyboard and dialpad accessibility
The capacitive display's touch interface is quick and responsive and we love the added multitouch capability. As with previous Android phones, there's vibrating feedback only for certain functions (like a "long press"), though you can turn off the haptic feedback completely if you desire. When we selected items and scrolled through long lists, there was no lag time in performing the command (more on that later, as well). You also can customize the display's brightness, backlighting time, and animations. The accelerometer will adjust the display's orientation as you rotate the Droid in your hands, but you can turn this feature off.
Outside of the upgrades from Android 2.0 and the Droid-specific tweaks, the basic interface will be familiar to Android users. You get only three home screens--we prefer the five we got on the Motorola Cliq--but you can customize each pane with widgets. And, of course, the central pane has the Google search bar. The main menu is accessible via the pull tab at the bottom of the display. The menu's design is mostly unchanged. You can move icons around and add shortcuts and folders
Browser :
It’s amazing how a simple double-tap gesture will dramatically change the usability of a touch-screen-based browser. Literally, it’s one thing (besides CPU speed, a great screen obviously, etc.) that makes a big difference. Again, there’s no multi-touch and to be honest, a simple pinch-zoom gesture is really missed. With that said, the browser has improved a lot as far as rendering, being HTML5 compliant, sometimes fast, and very, very stable. Visually, as Android 2.0 in general seems to do, there’s some spice added. Visual bookmarks are fun, the improved URL bar at the top complete with favicon is also a nice touch. In addition to being HTML5 compliant, there’s also support for offline caching for browser-based apps among other improvements. The widescreen resolution and pixel density of the screen really make the browser very friendly to use
When you look at speed, the browser is pretty good. Running over the same Wi-Fi network, the DROID performed pretty reasonably compared to our iPhone 3GS. The 3GS we’d say has about 20% on the DROID for straight page loading and rendering, though scrolling speeds are noticeably faster on the DROID. Well, loading is pretty fast.
Phone calling / speaker :
The speakerphone isn’t the loudest speakerphone, but it’s delightfully crisp and projects sound very well. When bumpin’ some music, we didn’t notice a single distortion, crack — nothing, even at full volume. Speakerphone voice calls also exhibited from the same pleasurable and accurate audio reproduction. We love making calls on the DROID
Google Navigation :
Uh oh, Google just ate everyone’s lunch right? Well, kind of. Google Navigation is amazing at the conceptual level, and even as far as usability goes it’s great. It’s fast, clean, and hey, it’s in beta so don’t flip out. We love satellite view for navigating and we love that it’s truly an internet-connected navigation app that never needs updated. It caches your route so it’s not totally network-dependent, but there isn’t any offline maps or anything like that, so some might take issue with that

I waited more than year & half to find QWERTY Moto beside the Q-series (its not available in Saudi Arabia)
or Sony Ericsson (the X1 was tooooo expansive) so i had to get Nokia E75 (I'm not fan of Nokia) 2 month ago & now this :

Why the best?
Based on the hardware of filling the screen, that this is the first device with Android 2.0 (Eclaire), the best on camera and so on. Unlike DEXT, who will have to compete with the mass of different devices on Android, then do not even have to add a shell or further develop standard software, all of the boxes is similar to other phones. The difference is in hardware performance, little things which create an aura around the product . Plus a few friends on the old products from Motorola chips that make the device enjoyable
Metal case, even the battery compartment lid made of metal. But everywhere covering soft-touch, it is velvety, pleasant phone to hold in their hands. Want to feel the metal?
Above the screen is a frontal camera, immediately - an indicator of events: receive SMS - it starts to blink, exactly the same for missed events. Very handy when the screen is not lighted at the same SMS, and starts blinking light, good it is noticeable
Disclosure of the device automatically changes the screen orientation (at the turn in the closed position exactly the same thing).The keyboard has a small move, but the buttons are large and pleasant. In comparison with keypad Nokia N97 model from Motorola wins by a large margin, it is more convenient. Right put five-way navigation key, it is pleasant.

Anonymous, 04 Nov 2009only d1 24 fps video 165 gr weight no internal meory no ... morea LiLon batery lol ... do you read what you write? And only 5mp camera well that is the last I care and the most people who will buy it ... we have camera for that job not mobile phone. Also this will be at least 200 euro cheaper than the X10. And also i Motorola the build quality is always superb (with very very few exceptions).
