This phone is looks mega powerful, its like a super phone I can't wait for it to hit the stores. I think its main competitor is Nokia N97, but with google OS 2.0, half a ghz of speed, and google maps, it will be the bomb. I cant wait for the loads of software for Andriod.

should have put a 1ghz cpu would have been more of a WOW since motorola has been lazy for the last few years.

moto made only hardware not the firmware so dont give moto much credit, they still sux, make ur stinky razr and go go cry in the corner

There is a GSM version coming out, but it's for Latin America. However, it's WCDMA (850/1900/2100) so you could import it and use it on AT&T, but I wonder who is going to pay $700+ for importing it unlocked?? I guess it's worth it though XD, faster 3G. Yeah the iphone is not the best phoe, but it has set the standard as to what people would like to see in a phone, and that it jut works (os is polished and has eye-candy, plus the apps I guess). So far other oses have been trying to catch up in regards to their outdated ui (winmo, symbian). Plus the iphone just works well with the hardware, something that Apple has done well over the years with their Macs. The prada was the first full touch screen, yes, but compared to the iphone it's a no match. How many people own an LG Prada compared to an iphone? How many Prada owners switched to an iphone, and why? But the good thing out of all of this is that cell phone makers are stepping up in regards to their hardware, while on the os side they are doing the same. But oh well, as for now the Droid is Motorola's best android device, while the X10 may be SE's. The bad thing is that most of those phones won't even make it to our US carriers :(

and wasnt the LG prada technically announced and out before the iphone as a full touch screen device???

Iphone is NOT the best phone (I'm not an iphone hater by any means and I've owned 2 already) they have the simplist design and functionality for a touch screen phone but he so does the ipod touch (which once again is a great MP3 player) and now a days i guess simple is the way to go and Apple's model/motto (just look at all the mac's, which I hate mac's bc they arent what I need a computer for anyways) but anyways, in summation, Iphone is not the best and the Driod® may not be the best either or even an Iphone killer but will more than likely be the "flagship" phone for VZ like the pre for sprint, the sidekick for t-mob and the Iphone is for AT&T. to bad its not gsm bc i would get one unlocked an use w/AT&T and since I work for an authorized AT&T resaler and only have a $25 a mo bill, i dont see myself porting over to VZ anytime soon.

The DROID doesnt include GSM radio's so thats wrong and its not a rumor its going on sale on November 6. and 1 mo thing. 1st!!!!!

Oh man, I'd love this if it indeed does come with AT&T 3G. I've yet to use Android OS but I'd definitely buy this phone over my current Nokia N86 in a heartbeat. Android + QWERTY + 5MP camera = win.

I never liked Moto, but here, gotta admit its a really cool phone with even cooler features. Its pretty big and i like it. Hope Moto continues to surprise us with other handsets. All the best Moto...

I have given Moto alot of crap over the years cause they truly deserved it, but this is more like it, tt last! A beautiful touch screen qwerty slider at only 13 mm thin. Good Job Moto! This is what i am talking about. I am impressed and very curious/interested in this phone.

Finally it's official :]. But you all have to admit it, without Apple releasing the iphone we wouldn't have many touch screen phones with capacitive screens, nor os(es) that would be easier to use (ie winmo would still have box looking menus, and a simple and ugly gui, android wouldn't have existed until later (maybe) and not have as many features, symbian foundation wouldn't have tried to grab Apple developers to work or give them ideas for their platform, and so on). "an object in motion remains in motion unless acted upon by an outside force". Competition and complaining is good after all lol. This phone is close to perfect :]. As for you guys wanting the SE X10, do you guys/gals think that it will sell subsidized over here in the US?? Unless if you want to pay for the crazy price ($700+), and are willing to go without 3G then it's all yours lol
