Hello,any one knows why each time i try to search for updates for my software on my milestone it says"unable to connect to the server please try again later"would dome one try it please and tell me what his device says?

now moto even improve voice quality with the new crystaltalk plus add second micro provide clear voice quality. will come with droid x.

There is no adobe flash player in the phone and now the os can be updated to 2.1 but still no flash player until 2.2 froyo release

First of all, for the video clip you saw about crystal talk, do you have any URL or subject I can type and search in Youtube? Would like to share that in the phone forum where I live.
I know Milestone is a bit expensive. So now there are other alternatives....the XT701 costs around US$50 less where I live.
Next month I'll probably get the Backflip for about US$450. Or else, the ME501/Quench/Cliq XT should cost even less, for probably around US$400.
Honestly I don't know anyone who started to use Android would complain about it and go back to either Symbian or Windows Mobile.
And yes, I just sold my good old Q9 today...goodbye Windows Mobile and I'll never see it again!

For Milestone: qwerty keyboard
For XT701: radio with Xenon flash, lower price of about US$50 where I live
Other areas they're practically the same. So you decide what you neee/want.
I don't have XT701 (persuading my wife to get one for her!), though for Milestone, I find it just as easy to use the touchscreen qwerty as well as the hard keyboard.

It's been a long time, hope you can still remembers me! Still using my E8, just bought a used V9 Ferrari from a friend, fantastic condition and love it.
Glad that you're still helping those in need of "Motorola information". I'm still talking about CrystalTalk whenever the topics arise while talking to friends. Watched the CrystalTalk II CES 2009 video on Youtube and was really impressed with their noise cancelling - a person inside a cylindrical booth with music blasting inside but still not heard by the other party talking to him on a phone outside the cylinder. Hope more people appreciate this special feature as compared to other makes that comes with "free background noise" when they purchase their phones from other makes.
Seen this Milestone personally, nice display, nice solid built as always but my budget's out on this one. No chance to test the Crystaltalk on Milestone yet but with the CrystalTalk I on both my E8 and V9 Ferrari, I believe the improvements would be a good one. Need to know more about Android OS and this one could be my next upgrade should I decides to let go of my other PDA phone Asus P750.

Dear all motorola user! i wish to buy the android phone from motorola, but between Milestone and XT701 which one has the best performance (m focus on touch screen, music and game, thanks in advance for all ur advices.

Whenever my mom calls on my Moto V9, she would think I'm at home, when in reality, I could be in a restaurant, bus, train, or even in noisy street.
If you can get your better half and families to use Moto phones with Crystal Talk, you would notice the differences.

this is just my suggestion that in future milestone will be without keyboard,coz its touch response is so quick that hardly u need a keyboard. I,m using n 97 before this and where touch response is poor. I,m still waiting for 2.2 update for this device. guys this phone is awesome...go for it. u never regret ur decesion....

I owned a nokia 97 mini before using motorola milestone , and my experience was NOKIA n97 is nothing , or in fact less than nothing in comparison with Milestone. Touch interface is exceptional as if phone knows where you are going to touch. i havent seen a better operating system than android , symbian sucks . the response time of phone is negligible , its as if you are using intel i7 processor .Graphics are awesome. Even camera quality is better than N97. ***** for Milestone

n we got QWERTY here noyhing wrong with it

kenosis, 18 Jun 2010I think QWERTZ is German keyboard version.True...Not all milestone have 'Z' and 'Y' replaced.It is regional based, In India we have 'QWERTY' keyboard.
