hey guys , I just bought this amazing device . Even though I'm more an htc fun therse is only one thing to say about this smartphone ; it's just amazing ! surfing is faster than any other phone in such category , android's performance is excellence , gps signal is perfect even the camera is really good . there's only one disadvantage about this device ... the weight ... it is really heavy , it's so heavy that it could be used as a weapon in emergency situations(that could be really usefull especially for us women) .

Motorola has been the pioneer in mobile phone manufacturing since ages, but for the past couple of years Motorola had almost become extinct in the Indian market & it was high time since Motorola came up with a phone worth craving for. And boy'o'boy, what a miraculous comeback. The Milestone is exactly what Motorola required, to prove to the world that its still the big daddy of all smartphone manufacturing companies & will always be, & I don't see any reason why this phone shouldn't be another worldwide bestseller for Motorola after the success of the MotoRazr series. The Milestone can arguably be called the best handset Motorola has ever produced & is like a masterpiece of technological brilliance that every geek like me would dream to have.

Motorola has put in all the ingredients in their recipe book to spice up the Milestone - brilliant display, fantastic hardware, amazing software, complemented by a very competitive price tag. Just name the feature & you've got it all in this supersmart beauty. But to be realistic, this phone in no way can still be called an "iPhone Killer", but even if the Milestone can't beat the Apple iPhone, it surely has the guts to compete against it in full force. On the other hand, the Milestone still makes more impact than the insanely priced Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 (save for the exception of a few impractical features) & the HTC or Samsung counterparts, some of which still run on the older 1.5/1.6 versions of Android, & is definitely way ahead of the 'pathetic' Nokia N97's & N900's.

The first & foremost noteworthy feature of the Milestone is its brilliant hardware & great form-factor. No recent phone in the market has ever come with such a credible combination & implementation of materials & build quality. Interestingly, with a thickness of just 13.7mm, its the world's slimmest full Qwerty slide-out phone ever. Then comes the uniquely designed & ever customisable MotoBlur UI, which I feel has the capability to beat HTC's Sense UI & Samsung's TouchWiz UI hands down. The new Android OS Version 2.1(Eclair) is like the iceing on the cake, coupled with an awesome 5MP autofocus camera with dual LED flash, geo-tagging, image stabilisation & 720p HD video recording & playback. And seeing the fast pace at which the new apps are being introduced in the Android market, the Milestone is going to gain more & more importance by time in our everyday lives. And last but not the least, the highly intelligent brain that it has, the ARM Cortex A8 600MHz processor with 256MB RAM, makes its experience breezing fast & to top it up the PowerVR SGX530 graphics accelerator makes the marvelous 3.7 inches WVGA capacitive display with 16M colours a real pleasure to watch. The display also comes with 16:9 aspect ratio & supports multi-touch with double-tap & pinch zooming features. And then there is the host of all the other regular features that are obvious for a phone in such a price range: Wi-Fi, 3G with 10.2 Mbps HSDPA, A-GPS with Google Maps, Lifetime free voice-guided navigation with MotoNav software, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, Stereo speakers, 3.5mm audio jack, 8GB MicroSD memory card, Accelerometer & Proximity sensors, Webkit-based HTML browser with Adobe Flash Player v10.1 support, Digital Compass, MicroUSB v2.0, Push email, Document viewer & Photo editor, etc.

If marketed & distributed well, I can assure that the Milestone has all the style & substance to write a new golden chapter in the success story of Motorola. But I still feel, instead of around Rs.30,000, if this phone would have been priced at approx. Rs.25,000 in India, it would have made more sense & would well have been the ultimate value for money product by any smartphone manufacturing company!

dadi cool , 21 May 2010this is the best phone in the market yet even without 2.2 No it's not...!
Most of the phones today have FM-Radio, and is important to have it, for regional info, and this phone does not have it.
Yesterday i had this phone in my hands, it fells good to have in hand, nice quality built, it seem fast to flip this screens left and right, texting and messengers, but it still new os...!
It's more like local Cable-TV with lot of local canals, but hard to find favorite one to watch...lol, because most of them are adverts and previews where you'll get easy tired of it, and all kips you living for one other day is "oh fruyo is coming..."!

I am currently using the SE X10 after a long history of using SE phones (P800, P900, P990, P1, all with Symbian). The Android is great, however, I cannot come to grips with the lack of physical keyboard and the virtual one is really a pain for my fingers (too many mistakes, just very cumbersome). I am therefore looking for replacement: either Motorola Milestone or SE X2. It seems the X2, with its latest update to MoWi 6.5.3 runs quite well. Also, its physical keyboard gets consistently higher marks than the Milestone. That said, would anyone have means to compare those two phones. In particular views on both keyboards would be interesting. Thanks a lot.

When i purchase, i had been told that Motorola Milestone included Flashplayer 10.1 but it is not supported in Asia-pacific!!
I had called Motorola customer service for help. But he asked me to write email for this complain. Motorola Stuff were mention that the web displayed here is incorrect and they will take flashplayer 10.1 out from the spec!?
Whenever i browse facebook video will prompt me an error about "Adobe flash player is not install...." some things like that. I were so surprised that Motorola mention will release on first half of '10 but not on my newly purchased Milestone!

                                I feel like cheated!
