XFinest, 28 Apr 2010Did anyone try to use this phone with the tmobile network? ... moreHello EveryOne..!!
Am a hardcore SE fan, i have user 14 sony mobiles and 1 Motorola DROID, and 3 E-Series Nokia phones. The Droid(mileStone) is the top among the equals in market. Believe me, its real pleasure to have such gadget in Hand.
I am using this with a T-Mobile, This will not suport the 3G feature to work. The APN settings will not be pushed from network. I gave up all my attempts to enable the 3G service with T-Mobile. But at the end of the day, am have to put my thumps down.Am now running the internet on EDGE.

The other negative point to consider would be the battery life, it just drains like flood water.(Nokia E series stay a longer time as compared in 3G)

The google apps are just stunning.Full touch...full qwerty..GPS..GPRS..BLUETOOTH..MOVIES..SONGS..YOUTUBE..TWITTER...FACEBOOK..MYSPACE..what else do u look in for.
Am taking this phone to india. Just waiting to decide on which network servie to select. :(

Anonymous, 29 Apr 2010Hi can someone please tell me about the durability of the m... moreWhoever provided you the comment must be someone from the future! (terminator?)

Milestone was released in Nov 2009, and we're in (end of) April 2010...only 6 months.

How can that person tell you the phone will fall apart in a year?

I've owned many many Moto products in the past (still not 100 yet though!) and most, if not all, are as sturdy as they could be, especially when being compared to other brands.

A friend of mine was using the almighty brand's N76 and he dropped a few times, the flip "overturned" and the hinge went loose, so the flip could no longer stay where it should be.

My friend's wife had been using Moto V3maxx since brand new, and the only reason she switched to another phone was she wanted a better cam, and her V3maxx still worked perfectly all these years...after dropping for at least over 40 times.

If you read some posts here earlier, the glass on Milestone could be made by Corning.

My first Moto phone (2nd / smaller generation DynaTAC) was known to have "military spec".

I have a Milestone (Telus version in Canada) unlocked and have been running on Rogers network.

Gotta say I am really impressed with this phone and is strengthens my reasoning for sticking with Android phones.

Although the device is hefty, it is solidly built and feels like good quality.

                        Pros:
                        - Good build
                        - Android 2.0
                        - Fast
                        - Bright and beautiful screen
                        - All sorts of connectivity options
                        - Awesome reception
                        - Loud speaker

                        Cons:
                        - A little heavy
                        - only 4 row qwerty keypad
                        - attracts fingerprints

had mine for a couple of weeks.well i`m in dubai.the phone looks realy super.the sound is not that loud but it`s ok.camera does super in day time but but it sucks at nights :) .just updated it to android 2.1 got some bugs with 1) alarm clock 2) music auto starts after unpluging the headphone .crystal voice clear option not working.battry life some how sucks.
but i like it.btw touch screen is perfect.android market is super.but what a pity lack of memory.btw fring and skype and nimbuzz do not support voice call.the build is solid and perfect .just go for it if you are not as fussy as i am.

                            got any question.let me know.

"Milestone" (not Droid!) does NOT run on any American 3G frequency, so no matter if you're with AT&T or T-mobile, you cannot run 3G on "Milestone".

The reason is somehow the Americans (gov/FCC) decided to run on a different 3G frequency from the rest of the world, and for this particular device, it does "not" support American 3G.

For the rest of the world, this phone runs on 3G, and in my own experience, it runs as fast as my broadband at home.

Regarding battery life, and you mentioned the almighty brand's E-series, did you compare with any model with a 3.7" monitor like Milestone? Otherwise you're comparing fuel economy of a SUV with V6/V8 engine vs. an economy car with 1.5l engine.
