This phone rocks, it is very fast, touch respones excellent. Just please never root this phone, as you would have lots of problems. I have been using it for 6 months and I am very happy. HDMI video over my tv excellent. Touch response superb. I can advise you to go for this phone. Battery last 2 to 3 days. Use to own milestone 1 , and this beat it by far.

HDMI display on my tv super hot. no lag at all. twice better performance than old milestone. Please remember never to ROOT your phone , it would just cause problems. You can do with this info what you want , but believe me this phone ROCKS

to change you version, you do not need to restore the original 2.1 os. Just insert the new nandroid file onto your sd card as before and use recovery boot to install the new version. while in the recovery tool you will see both versions of the android OS as an option to install. so if you have Dexters 1.1 version, and are going to 1.3, 1.1 will remain an option on your phone.

can anyone advise me about the capacitive touch of this phone as i found it less sensitive than the normal capacitive screens. please advise as iam confused whether to go for it or not. howz the perfomance ?

i recommend to update your xt720 to 1.3 version of dexter froyo and overclock it to 1.2. you will notice the change in performance. now my xt720 is better than droid 2 in terms of functions and performance. hope there will be a developer that will update it to 2.3 gingerbread.

1- copy all file from nandroid and paste it to wantedrom folder. wantedrom must be located in root sd card.
2- do I need to root my Phone using oneclickroot again?
3- use backup restore in system recovery app to restore the stock file from folder wantedrom or nandroid?.

I think they should provide illustration. I've done it last night. fortunately, it works but video recording in HD is not working anymore. Thanks anyway

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=961731 Use this rom in place of dexters and it fixes a few of the problems like setting the gallery pictures as wallpaper. also adds functionality similar to the Droid. If you installed the upgrade from the previous post, all you need to do is insert the nandroid file inside the wantedrom into the root of your SD card and do the install recovery boot just like you did before. The wantedrom is based off Dexters 2.2 rom just tweaked a little.
