The Motorola MILESTONE XT720 was unveiled only several days ago but as it turns out the phone is almost ready to start shipping. Word on the street is that the Android-powered device will hit the stores on 2 July. Meanwhile, Motorola published some XT720 camera samples.

The MILESTONE XT720 (which you might know as the Motorola MOTOROI) is said to become available just in a few weeks, on 2 July. If you want to pre-order yours over at Expansys prepare to dig deep into your pocket: the thing is priced at 450 GBP (around 545 euro, delivery not included).

One of the main reasons for starting making plans of purchasing the Motorola MILESTONE XT720 is its promising 8MP autofocus snapper with Xenon flash and 720p video recording at 24fps. Motorola has just published some photos taken with the XT720 and they look pretty nice.

However, keep in mind that those have been downsized and/or cropped so the actual performance might be much better. Or, you know, worse. We'll see about that once we get the chance to review the XT720.

The pictures look out of focus. Not very high quality at all. Please, I need a decent Android camera phone with Xenon flash so I can ditch my Satio (POS) and ditch symbian.
