USB 3 - what a joke fake phone! Barely reaches USB 2 speed during file transfers. 1st and last Motorola phone i've ever bought!! Display sucks and has dark shadows in the edges.

People keep making jokes about Sony's "remote control" phone screen when even Motorola used it on this phone. Also, with recent rumours of the iPhone-fication of Xperia, it makes me appreciate the cinematic aspect ratio even more, especially when it comes to app split screen.

I got a g100 as a backup phone, I live in the UK but phone was shipped from Germany I think and the system update screen has what looks like Spanish text on it. I have not had option to upgrade to Android 12, so stuck on Android 11. It seems a good phone, not set up everything yet but as it's from 2021, it has things missing that are found on 2024 phoned such as waterproofing, drop proofing (gorilla glass) side mounted fingerprint sensor, mono loudspeaker, slow charging

Well there aren't any bigger microSD cards yet, but I think Kioxia announced the first 2TB card which I think even this phone will support.

Just ran a Geekbench and scored 1309 single 3480 multi. Also just seen a recent post of a new phone scoring not even half of that. What is Motorola playing at no longer supporting this phone when there is still plenty of life left in it?

Niobium62, 04 Dec 2023motorola has some of the worst OS support on the market. ... moreDefinitely a shame that this super-capable phone isn't getting updates past Android 12, and I really wish Moto were willing to keep devices this capable more current. It sucks. But they also were up front about what they promised when we bought the phone, so we buyers knew what we were agreeing to when we bought the device. There is LineageOS as an option if you really want to stay current. But also, while there are some nice improvements in Android 13 (Bluetooth LE, spatial audio, ART optimizations) and 14 (ability to clone and use multiple instances of an app) these aren't necessarily game-changers for me personally. And switching to Lineage I think you have to give up native moto apps which I really like, such as Ready For and Moto gestures. Not worth it to me - I'm content for now to stay on Android 12. The phone is still performing as great today as it was a couple years ago so I'm still pretty happy overall. Battery life is still great, general performance is great (I'm not a gamer), screen is still fine, cameras are still fairly meh (although video is quite good) but GCam is available to help out on the stills side, and Moto feature goodness is still all there. So yes, Android 13 or 14 would be nice, but the phone is still a good phone.

No problems with the headphone jack on my G100. Maybe you have debris clogging up the audio jack port contacts?

motorola has some of the worst OS support on the market.
thankfully lineageOS has saved my motorola edge s from being turned into ewaste
