The problem of the Moto G62's Wifi hotspot disconnecting randomly and being unreliable hasn't been resolved. And annoyingly it happens frequently.
I've just read a thread on the Lenovo forum where someone has the same issue. They said the hotspot on the Moto G62 is more unreliable than previous Moto phones both via Wifi and USB. Anyone have an idea if this is a hardware or software issue? I don't understand why the hotspot is more unreliable than a phone released years ago.

horizon1, 29 Jan 2023In a video by mrwhosboss on Youtube about the Poco X4, he s... moreIt relies significantly on network provider. I more often than not maintain a 5G signal but speed can vary a lot. Sometimes 20-50Mbps other times I can get much more, 200Mbps+.
But overall network speed and responsiveness on my G62 is better than 4G, especially when network is congested which is what 5G was designed for as well. Having said that, a 5G modem/SoC will result in even better speeds due to more network bands or CA support.

In a video by mrwhosboss on Youtube about the Poco X4, he said that the 5G on the phone isn't very good or reliable because its a budget phone around the $250 mark.
With the Moto G62, I always see a 5G indicator at the top of the screen, but when I run a speed test, the download speed is below 50 Mbps. Is this because the 5G on this phone isn't as good as higher end phones or is it common on all 5G phones to get slow speeds in comparison to what's expected on 5G?

Abe, 23 Jan 2023This can happen randomly and possibly due to interference f... moreSince I changed the Timeout setting from 10 minutes to Never turn off on the phone settings, the problem of the laptop disconnecting from the hotspot hasn't happened.
Although when the laptop was disconnecting from the hotspot, the phone showed that the hotspot was still on. I would have thought that if the Timeout setting is on 10 minutes then the hotspot turns off on the phone after that time or isn't that what happens?

You can try changing the hotspot to 5GHz which should help (since it has more channels) or enable hotspot from USB connection worst case.

With the Moto G62 when using the mobile hotspot, sometimes my laptop disconnects from it randomly even though the phone settings indicate that the hotspot is still on. Is anyone else experiencing this and know what the reason could be?

I've done a factory reset and still no vpn option, and still cannot use any vpn's.
I searched online, and a few other people on reddit with moto devices have also mentioned the same thing.
I wonder what's going on. Whatever it is, it needs fixing asap!

Battery life is insane.
Using 4G and 60Hz, I have about 14:30h SoT with still 11% left.. I have extensively used streaming, reddit, messengers, camera, browsing, installing/updating apps.

695 is as strong as 845. It has core A78.
Sustained performance is much better on all phones with this SoC and battery endurance is beyond giant.
Sony 10iv could run wildlife benchmark over 20 times with 0 signs of heat.
Over 160h endurance, even if screen was 120Hz, result would still be above 150h.
