IPS screens are very good. Go check out what ipad screens are made of. g73 specially doesn't give an eye strain. OLED screens outperform only in very bright sun. All those dead pixel, green lines are mostly OLED related issues.

Can anyone tell me if the screen gets bright enough for general use? Anyone regret getting the phone because of it?

btw Moto did change the greens in the photo. i wasnt paying attention so didn't notice which update did this happen, but it's no longer acid-punchy and pretty natural. the processing still oversharpens pictures though, but that's nitpicking.

in smartphone world IPS reigns supreme.

even though there is eye safe oled technology out there.
especially with tv lcd made of oled who dont use pwm dimming or other types of eyestraining technology.

i havent tested those tv's by using them,
but I have held my smartphone camera over it in pro mode with low shutter speed and i could not see any pwm flickering.

I remember once testing a samsung tablet with oled which also didnot have visible pwm flickering according to my camera.

if im not mistaken, the old original samsung smartphones also had amoled and for some reason didnt hurt the eyes. different technology or just virgin eyes?

I really don't understand the outright hatred lcd's (and people who prefer them) get .

Personally I think all manufacturers should offer an lcd alternative to their phone lineup ,that way everyone would be happy as people can't complain that it's not an oled as they will have an oled version of the same phone ,I know there would be a slight difference in the look (obviously you can't curve an lcd) ,but the name and stats would be the same (apart from the addition of lcd in it's title) ,hell they could give you a 4k lcd just to make up for it .
But it's unlikely to happen ,so I will have to suffer with a low end device with minimal updates or choose eyestrain/headache vertigo and physical sickness (its a great life) .

As far as I'm aware, the law will come into force in May this year.

I'm proposing to buy one myself when I get paid this month provided I can change that awful clock face with the hours and minutes on top of one another. I've lived with that layout on a Samsung phone for the last 6 years and I'm sick to death of it.

For example, if you want to send someone a picture of a pair of sneakers they'll be an entirely different color the the recipient thinks they will be when they arrive.

Is it possible to change the clock face on this phone so that the hours and minutes are next to each other on one level and not on top of one another?

There's a chance they reduced it in Pakistan to lower the price. 4/128 is good enough for normal usage. I actually am using a spare phone with 3/32 and a processor with Cortex A75 cores (Motorola G73 has A78 - much faster) and it does everything quickly, no issues with 3 GB of RAM, especially with UFS memory, since if can load the app no longer being in the RAM quickly.

Performance is very snappy, cameras are ok, the display is not OLED but it's better than the one I had so it's good enough for me.

If you need a great display without paying premium, opt for the G84 instead. It has a much better pOLED screen and an improved main camera with OIS.

You can find it for around 230€ on some Black Friday deals.
