Ray, 10 Jan 2021If they're going to cut so many corners on other specs... moreOwning both a G9 power and a 2021 power at the moment (will return one of them), I can compare both. Camera is better on this one. The g9 has a lot of static and huge purple artifacts in dark places or at night. This gets rid of the purple and the noise isnt as bad. The battery is indeed a downgrade, would be awesome if the kept 6,000, also the 5,000 one on this one feels like it drains a lot quicker than even the Redmi Note 9S on MIUI. But in turn you get two sensors, a compass and a barometer (who removed a COMPASS from their phones?). I do prefer the rubber feeling back of this phone compare to the hard plastic of the g9s though. The screen is not as bright as the g9s and not as saturated, which is not a big deal. The lower resolution was probably means for battery life purposes (which I dont mine). Wish they kept an ultra wide camera since I feel that the macro is kind of redundant here. Also this has fantastic 4G/LTE band support compared to the g9. The main thing I like about the g9 power is the battery life which seems unmatched. Man, if only they kept that in with all the other features....

Outclassed in asian and european markets. Still no gorilla glass...

Why did they go to the trouble of paring down a Moto G9 Power? Weak effort Moto.

If they're going to cut so many corners on other specs, at least make up for it with a fat-ass overkill battery. What happened to the 6000 mAh on the G9?
