Moto G Power (2025) review

GSMArena Team, 26 February 2025.

Design and build

The Moto G Power (2025)'s design is nothing out of the ordinary in the context of Motorola phones in general. The device's back is made of eco-leather (silicone polymer), with a slightly rubberized-like feeling that's very pleasant to touch. We like how the camera is seamlessly integrated into the back panel with no sharp edges.

The eco-leather build is pretty nice, as it's resistant to scratches and breaks and provides a more secure grip. The available colors are Slate Gray and Leaf Green. We've got the latter in our hands.

The side frame is made of plastic but nicely painted with a matte finish. Nothing out of the ordinary except that it has a 3.5mm audio jack at the bottom and a power button that doubles as a fingerprint reader. The buttons are conveniently positioned.

The fingerprint reader that doubles as a power button is conveniently positioned and we deem it responsive and reliable.

There's no way around the fact that this is a big device, though, so keep this in mind. It's a 6.8-inch device with somewhat thick bezels. However, we are mildly impressed by the weight, as it tips the scale at just 208 grams. Pretty good for a big-screen device.

This year's big upgrade is the level of protection the phone's body provides. The handset is IP68/IP69-certified against water and dust. This means it has been tested to withstand high-pressure water jets and can be submerged in 1.5m-deep water for 30 minutes. It's also compliant with the MIL-STD-810H military-grade standard and can potentially survive in extreme environments and severe temperature shocks.

Samsung Semicon : " DSG HDR mode, the sensor performs a readout of the same image with two different analog gains simultaneously, then merges the two images into one " Still sure it is not ?
