I've had the Moto G Stylus 5G (2023) for a little over 6 months now. I got the 4G/128G Google fi edition for $100. It works well the way I use it, which is as a communications and navigation device.
It's snappy and smooth in general use, except for in Google Maps. There's something about that app this phone doesn't like. After a while navigating, it would drop the software buttons on the bottom and won't show it again without putting it to sleep and waking it up again. When that happens, the entire bottom quarter of the screen becomes unresponsive. Sometimes when zooming out and hitting 're-center' it becomes a slideshow. Can't quite figure it out.
Another minor gripe is the location and sensitivity of the fingerprint sensor. It would attempt to read fingerprint any time a finger gets anywhere near the phone like when I try to pick it up or put it down... preferred it when it was on the back.
Overall, despite the minor gripes, this phone is a fantastic deal at $100. Would still be a great deal up to $200. After that point it's less of a deal. I plan on buying another one as a spare.

Coming from the OG Edge+, then trying the RZR+ 2023, the Stylus 5G 2023 leaves a bunch to be desired. Battery life is good, and things have improved some with Android 14, but it is still very laggy and somewhat buggy(dropping connection to Android Auto regularly, the other phones had zero issues). This is with the 4gb version with 4gb of RAM boost enabled.
I would return this phone, but I needed something that would connect to Fis (T mobiles) network and my edge+ would not as it doesn't support the latest 5g bands. The rzr+ 2023 worked well, but the battery life was not up to my needs for daily use. I was hoping they'd toss in a 4500mah in the RZR 2024 version, but that does not look to be the case.

Good specs but real players require at least 8gb ram
6gb is for grandmas only.
Get outta here!

No mention that some models come with eSIM (Dual SIM). I've seen the ones sold at Costco (Canada, PAXF0009CA), and can confirm that they do indeed have that option. You can actually play with the phone, at the display, in the store. eSim is becoming much more important these days, and is difficult to confirm online, as you come across conflicting information when doing a search. Even the Motorola site doesn't list this model as having eSIM.

This phone is slooooow. I just got it for "free" since I transferred my line to another company. This was one of the options available. I haven't even added all the apps etc to it yet and it is waayyy slower than the one plus brand phones.
