We have 1 Moto G Stylus (2024) for 8 months now, and it doesn't have Facebook installed, never did. I can't disable it either, because it doesn't exist. I can't stand that app.

We have a 2nd Moto G Stylus (2024) for 8 months also, this one is not used much yet, and does not have Amazon installed, never did. Also, it can't be disabled, because it doesn't exist. Just to prove this troll wrong, I just uninstalled Facebook on this 2nd device, and it is completely gone. It's not spying on it anymore, because it is not there.
(This user will reinstall it because they use it).

We have a 3rd Moto G Stylus (2024) for 8 months also, and does not have Amazon or Facebook installed, never did. Also, they can't be disabled, because the apps don't exist.

Motorola has one of the cleaner Android experiences available. Motorola users know this, and many appreciate this point specifically.

The Moto G Stylus (2024) was selling for many months for $249 (now, artificially risen to $399 US, so as to not undercut, the new release, 4/15/25, of the Moto G Stylus (2025) for $399.) and is a killer deal for the performance you get. The Moto G Stylus (2024) truly performs far above its class, and I believe the Moto G Stylus (2025) will also.

Forced update, DL through data and reboot. What if I've mergency call ? Or if I just don't want.
After softbrick, can't be wiped. And very easy to softbrick. Even Xiaomi wipe quite flawlessly...
Too many big red flags for me.
Maybe cheaper, so they get back money through spyware. Just guessing

I know its software is shyte, one of the worst
Especially if you care blotty spyi forced buggy update things. And it stutter and some lags, I've seen it. Software problem probably too.

It has its pros, if that suits, great.

It's by far the worst of the worst os . Even Xiaomi not as bloooody spyi full of krapware forced updated and so many inconsistencies ...

I softbricked it. So much crappyware intoo that. I got so anngry i 'smartly' broke if. Didn't even want to give that shyte to a friend.

I've my adb logs, never seen one that big and locked as much.

              Real experience. Don't buy that.

The price has artificially risen to $399 US, so as to not undercut, today's release of the Moto G Stylus (2025) for $399. This has sold recently for many months now for $249.

                  terrible phone
the worst OS ever. bugs , inconsistent and truncated GUI ,anoying non disable notifs, terribly spyi, full of unremovable bloats, stutter, vibrate (even disabled), the list would never end.
how can this phone have any good review.
I'll either give it away or trasch it (yes, seriously, it bother me too much...)
                  just a piece of krap

Google should make it a minimum compliance thing where OS support is at least 2 year min (preferablly 3 as a minimum). Obviously higher end phones should have more.

                      worth waiting a 2025 version ?
I can have one like new for 160.
proc bench is decent, but this samsung 4nm node, bad experience with battery/heat and stutter.
camera is good enough, rendering a bit strange (greens look 'artificial' and sharpening look like '2D'), but portrait and selfie are great. More than enough for me.
good slick design, no nonsense glass back
moto OS is clean, no stuffed with cumbersome useless things. Some spyi under the hood, I can certainly debloat. also usually runs smoothly without crashes (good drivers implem, I see you xiaomi)
big screen, one of the biggest, LCD : good for eyesight and low power, enough nits for oustide. 120 hz but seems non adaptive, not good.
sure not a flagship, i don't want flagship anymore (expensive fragile bloated walled locked everything AI nonsense and so on...) - and not like a huge leap in basic use between mid range and flagship.
seem I should buy it :)

VVD, 28 Mar 2025Does this support OTG? The Moto G Stylus 5G (2024) has USB OTG.

The G Stylus (2024) is an insane deal and one of the best phones for $250 currently, available @ Motorola (256GB version) (and $242 at a huge online retailer). This phone performs far above its class.

Yes, the Moto G75 is also an insane deal, but not specifically made for the US market and as such, doesn't work with Verizon and some others, I believe. If you can get one and it works with your carrier, go for it.

"USB OTG Checker" in Play Store checks any phone.
USB OTG, or USB On-the-go is a specification for devices like smartphones and tablets. A compatible phone can act as a “host” and lets you use it with other USB devices like flash drives, keyboards, mice, and more.

Fantastic Phone ! I got mine on sale at Bestbuy for $250 , comes with a built-in pen ! And unlike the massively overpriced Samsungs with s-pens it does not come with the malady of having your screen (hardware ) killed by their own "sofware updates" and pretending as if they didnt know what happened . Happened to me twice , once on my Note 9 and more recently on an S22 ultra . This MOTOROLA is super good value at 1/5th the price and very, very HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !

Motorola is known for not messing too much with software, and letting Android be. This philosophy is applied to all of its devices. While they get some adaptations and enhancements, like Moto Gestures. the UI is still super clean. It’s definitely one of the best phones with stock Android.
