I am thrilled with this little G Stylus and will buy. I refused to Pay for the s25U (had s23U cracked screen) when it is a downgrade with little new benefits such B.S camera iterative updates with No bluetooth s-pen and No 10x optical zoom, same design in general and battery for last 5 years while cost 3.5 times of this cheap yet functional Moto.
I dont mind if Moto bump it up by another $50 just wish they offer better software upgrades of at least 3 Major Andorid & 5 years security updates, as many mid-ranger does now and they will steal tons of Samsungs A36 and A56 buyers.
Also please make 20:9 aspect ratio in future to fully utilise the Stylus, skinny long fones are not great to write or read with long scrolling thats why Samsung and Apple have wider phones rather than the long and skinny ones. Pls release this in Australia and worldwide

Anonymous, 13 Apr 2025What's the reason behind not releasing it in globally? The Edge 60 Stylus is the global version of this phone. The the Moto G Stylus 5G has been a North American exclusive until this generation.

justasmile, 12 Apr 2025Yep, 2 OS updates, 3 year security updatesThanks for the information. Looking also at the Pixel 9a, it has longer software support but is $200 CAD more and only 128gb. Last year's Stylus came with 256gb standard here in Canada. So I need to decide if the seven years of pixel updates is worth paying up the extra $200 for smaller storage, lack of SD card slot and a lack of a headphone jack. Pixel AI and the Moto stylus pen are of low importance to me. Looks like battery life will be fairly similar between the two devices. Thanks again.

justasmile, 09 Apr 2025Only problem: Update support?Does anyone know for sure how many years this phone will be supported? I read the G75 has 6 years of support. The 2024 stylus only has 3yrs of security support. GSMarena if you know please post on the specifications page. Thanks

Motorola incorrectly writing a detail in their specs, is a common thing.

The nay-saying troll police always come out in droves to attack Motorola products.
Can't let people continue to find out the Samsungs, Pixels, iPhones, ect... are overpriced, wastes of money...

Yes, it looks as though the Moto G Stylus (2025) will be a continuation of killer value, just as the Moto G Stylus 5G (2024) is.

kinkam, 09 Apr 2025Surprised it has a 3.55mm jackIt doesn't, not sure why GSMArena have it listed as having one. Motorola specs on their site say USB-C and the renders don't show any 3.5mm jack. Quite disappointing really.

That is why Google still sticks to older standard in Pixels, because the difference in speed is beyond reasonable perception for most people per given cost increase. Sure, they came up with all kinds of crazy speed things and devices and even went to the moon but this isn't something of great relevance to most people, just like some Chinese phone makers stick Samsung's extreme large sensor cameras into their phones but Samsung themselves do not because it makes no sense to them financially per given cost increase and loss of buyers as a result. The guys who make these phones are no dummies. Unless you are trying to impress someone, there is no reason for the latest and greatest.

And that is just an example. I am sure some people use stylus for actual note taking too and then let their AI to PDF it for them or something.
