the internals of the phone are good but design is nothing to boast about...will be a sellout in US(patriotism or anything else) but not in india coz there is no proper support from moto out here...

Is the dimension is correct? Why HTC Desire 500 has bigger dimension than Moto X, but it only has a 4.3 inch screen comparing with Moto X's 4.7 inch?

Because Snapdragon 800 is the ultimate chipset with a faaaar better GPU and CPU than the S4 Pro SoC in the MotoX. Also, you're wrong about the Exynos Octa and Snapdragon 600 phones losing to the MotoX. Can you please double-check??? And can you please check if the MotoX really is H20-proof? Oh, and you saying this has the best Android experience is wrong. LG/Google Nexus is the best pure-stock android because it is blazing fast and lag-free, even with more than 20 open apps.

                    cheers

Anonymous, 07 Aug 2013The battery is non-removable and that's not good, a removab... moreThose batteries can be changed in service centers. You see in the case of samsung, users are becoming prone to buy fake batteries coz you cant buy a battery of a one year old device in an instant. example is s2/s3, where can you buy s2/s3 certified battery? Nowhere except you order it in official samsung sevrice center but you still have to wait for weeks coz in its not available in most cases. Those who say phone with non replaceable batteries are disposable are idiots. Its like saying if you broke your screen you throw it immediately.

Anonymous, 07 Aug 2013The battery is non-removable and that's not good, a removab... moreTo change battery is not a big issue. You can do by yourself or have repair shop do it for you. If Moto can put battery in, we can take batery out. Very soon you can find video on youtube regarding diassembling the phone.
I just changed bsttery on my Razr. Now I put in 3300 MAH. I did it myself with the help of video thst I downloaded from youtube.
So don't worry about battery. I just see price of X is not justify at the moment

The battery is non-removable and that's not good, a removable one would lengthen the lifespan of the device.

Another killer Moto X exclusive feature is Motorola Assist. It's unmistakably a Google product, as it looks just like Google Now. It's essentially a set of three profiles that are automatically deployed depending on the situation. The most useful of these is the driving profile, which uses the phone's GPS to know when you're driving to make the Moto X more driver-friendly. When it's running, your phone will ask you if you'd like text messages to be read aloud, and will announce an incoming caller's name so that you don't have to look at your phone. You can, in turn, command it with your voice. It's one of the best hands-free implementations of a driving mode we've seen, although you'll probably want to disable it if you're a passenger.

There's also sleep mode, which much like Do Not Disturb for iOS will silence your incoming calls during certain hours, allowing certain numbers through (specified favorites, for instance, or if the same number calls twice within five minutes, which is useful for emergencies). You can set up the same behavior for meetings; it uses your calendar to tell when you're in one that shows you as "Busy."

AnonD-170800, 07 Aug 2013For this phone thickness @ 10.4 mm, motorola should conside... moreNo you are wrong the thinnest part start at 5.2mm to 10.4mm and Moto design a special battery for that. Even with 2200mAh the X manager the 24 hours and beat the HTC One in the test.

For sure we wish more juice on this phone but with 24hours you have 2 or 3 days to use your phone.

Not sure about those colorfull back casing when many users will get a silicone or whatever protective cover for their phones. They won't buy any protective cover if the phone is really cheap.

I will definitely get one of those cover bundle together. But being Motorola, I don't think there many available (not many manufacturer willing made one)

PhoneScoop's Review - The X's screen measures 4.7-inches across the diagonal and includes 1280 x 720 pixels. Nope, it's not a full HD screen. If that's a disappointment, take solace in the fact that the X's screen still offers rich detail and sharp text and images. There are no visible pixels. The X's screen uses AMOLED technology. It is easily used outdoors, but there's a noticeable blueing effect when the phone is tilted side to side. Viewing angles aren't as good as I'd like them to be, but colors look nice when viewed head on. It's a fine display, but not a great one.

The materials are good, but could be better. The back surface of the black/white versions is a composite lined with Kevlar and has a soft-touch finish to it. (The back surface of the colored versions is a resin, and also has a soft-touch finish. These both contrast with the glossy, greasy finish on the recently-announced Droids.) There's nothing wrong with them, per se, but I will always prefer metal to plastic. The plastic that exists between the X's glass display and the back surface feels a little cheap to me, but all the seams were snug and fit together tightly.
