Here's my take on the situation.
1. Moto X has a 720p display.
a) 1080p over 720 display:- Higher sharpness
b) 720p display over 1080p display:- Lower Power Consumption. Higher performance in Games.
2. Moto X has a dual core CPU.
a) Quad Core over Dual Core:- Higher Performance
b) Dual Core over Quad Core:- NO ADVANTAGE.
When you don't need the extra performance, quad cores consume that same amount of power as dual cores. HOWEVER, if you need more performance the Quad Core Chip will have the extra headroom, but dual core won't.
That's why having a 720p Super AMOLED Plus display isn't midrange.
BUT having a dual core IS MID-RANGE.

Guys even this phone beating the gpu benchmarks doesnt mean its the best! or its better than the other dogs such as gs4 or htc one or xperia z they are still the benchmark king! And at this time they are phone ready to be unveiled with snapdragon 800 and adreno 330 what about after then? this phone is going to be fail than who will buy this if google editions of upcoming phones like lg g2 or sony honami comes out this phone stands no where
! And thats y motorola wont recover from the loss
pulling it out of many counteries releasing it for select places is another mistake
people will still prefer nexus 4 than this! hope motorola does better next time

About the curved screen. Well, Samsung will make a flexible device soon, and devices with folding style before Motorola.
About it's camera, well we should wait to see some samples, and then tell it's the best!
About the lack of memory card:it's better for a device to have a memory card slot, because you don't need the Internet to access your files.
We will see how good battery it has after a review. First phone with 18 color options. Many colors will be available to people who are living in USA.

Bad phone..less ppi,low battery,old version of android,dual core even samsung galaxy s4 mini use quad core ..camera is good and also design....but other things are very bad

Same GPU, half the resolution. It's not difficult to se why the Moto X does such a good job. CPU matters less and less because they have already been powerful enough for a long time in top devices. GPU is they main thing now wich makes a difference - even though all top devices bring more than necessary for most users.
This is why the X meets the other quads and pretend-octa in test where the combination of CPU and GPU is measured. Also the X has the 1080p clocked version of the Adreno 320.

It did not beat SGS4, the gpu's are the same with s600 and octa's gpu is more powerful on paper, the fps is capped at 60, you cannot rely on 2fps higher near the fps cap ;) and moto x cpu is less than half of sgs4 (both versions) moto x is not meant to be the most powerful phon ;)

I hope these companies eventually realize that the amount of space on a smartphone makes or breaks its success. Charging premiums for hard space in this day and age is just sad. Read it Google/Motorola execs, I know you're reading these comments. You almost had my money on this one, or the Droid Mini, but you didn't include a microSD, because you want us to use Google's cloud. That'll never work while I'm on the subway or on the basement level of my gym. Streaming from a cloud also kills battery and eats into carrier data plans. Maybe someday you'll understand this. It's 2013 for crying out loud. Having ample hard storage space on a smartphone is not that hard to do.

So, what does benchmarks like Antutu and Quadrant tell us?
Not much about the phones actual performance at all. At least not anymore. Two reasons for this. THey just about only focus on CPU - which have been more than powerful enough for 2-3 years now to give smooth performances if the SW part is god enough. And CPU doesn't even power the UI on the phones anymore.
GLBenchmark tests tells a lot more as the focus on the combination of cpu and gpu. Only problem is that gsmarena favors the off screen results which only tells us how the specs alone performs, not the phone.
Off-screen results at 1080p will be the same as on-screen for S4 and alike. But for the Moto X, the on-screen and actual performance is much higher. So now look at the nexus 4 which on paper have similar and even better specs as Moto X. It performs only half as good on all specs. This because Adreno 320 isn't just one GPU, it comes in at least two versions. This being the 400MHz one.
You cannot state that this will have worse battery life than S4 based on battery capacity alone. The whole design of the phone, inclduing it's two low-power cores, screen size and resolution and SW optimization is what will make this phone last.
I am a hobby photographer, but there is no doubt that almost everyone I see around me - who does not have the same hobby as me - uses their phones for photography. Even those who bought DSLRs the past years because it was so popular. So good for them that camera phones are improving fast.

In this is 3 times but even more with the GS4 (S600) or GS4 Active or even the Xperia Z or HTC One for a phone build in a old chipset as S4 Pro used in the Razr HD last year. The X8 Moto Chipset is the best technology actually because if Moto use it the a Chipset like the S600 it will kill any phone by far.
For the camera you even dare to talk this camera got the most advance technology Moto created the Clear Pixel wuth best quality pictures and the faster. Yes some people make phone with 40MP or 20MP camera but Moto confused them all with only 10MP this phone takes best pictures and faster. And we need that if you don't then use the one on Samsung with less quality.
Do not be crazy because you don't read enough the Moto X comes with 16GB or 32GB but with 50GB Google Drive for 2 years meaning your full 2 years contrat will be at the end.
This Moto X is the first phone to come with a flexible Gorilla glass and use the Edge to Edge try to learn about this informations because you cleary don't have them.
Moto X have a battery of just 2200 mAh which is not good for other phones but with the X8 Moto Chipset which help the phone to not consume a lot of battery juice. Find out about it yourself!
