Lot of disturbances on front camera..in low light pics are horrible..heavy disturbances..could see dots on screen...very unclear pics..felt like vga camera..any one facing same issue let me know

They should have named it something else. it's not even close to what we knew as moto x. No customization, no amoled display, not much ergonomic, big bezels, slippery, with shining body... not my choice. I prefer it to have finger print on the back or on the side, which allows for better display to body ratio.
they are now targeting a market segment that is belonged to Samsung,..., instead of focusing on what loyal motorola customers want. Sad. I miss Moto X

There are 2 versions of this phone: the standard version and the Android One version.
The standard version comes with Moto's version of Android, which is almost stock Android with only a few tweaks (like Moto gestures, etc), and in this case Lenovo is the one taking care of software updates, so these might take a while to be released.
The Android One version comes with pure stock Android with almost no tweaks (kind of Pixel/Nexus version of Android). In this case, the software updates come directly from Google, and this means faster updates and slightly better performance than the standard version.
The thing is the Android One version is only available in the US through Project Fi (Google's mobile virtual network operator), so getting your hands on one of these might be hard if you don't live in the US.
I suggest you go with the standard version since Moto's version of Android is almost stock and there's almost any difference with the Android One version aside from slower updates.

I like stock, Moto, camera and i want to use exactly this stock one camera. I'm sure they can make it to work better. Same situation was with iphone 7. First, when was launched, camera depth was tragic. After few updates apple make it to work great. I love the x4, and really enjoy to use it, bcoz of that want to see all the issues fixed.

But if you want you can have that google hdr+ camera from xda developer. That works far better than this. I would have shown if i could attach images. Try that. Although it will only use one camera lens for the depth effect but its much better than most.

See if one is a samsung buyer or xiaomi buyer, he has to look for a reason not to buy. I will also do the same if i am changing the brand priority. While shifting to xiaomi i will look for perfection in that device so same goes here -
Yes true that RAM management is not as good as others while comparing side by side but none of the buyer will ever feel that its a problem because it doesnt matter at all. Usually while sitting idle we humans keep on swiping finger on our phones. In this process i always kill all apps. So doesnt matter to me. It will somewhat matter to those who keep the all the apps open in background. Otherwise new app opening is faster in this phone than all the competitors except. Only it has to reload almost all apps (which is not actually slow) takes a sec or two extra against the phone which is already keeping those apps open in the background.

lokesh, 18 Dec 2017Is alexa assistant available in indian version???i was also concerned about that but lemme tell you something that will cheer you up - ok google voice commands work flawlessly from locked screen. Hard to say if any other phone from any brand can do that "this well". If you speak slightly louder you can control your commands from about 3-4 feet away without any issue (No Ambient Noise Should be there). Google assistant is improved upto a considerable level. Its talking more like a human rather than a robotic voice. You can choose between male and female voice. And if net speed is good you will be amazed the way it responds. Its quick. Your voice itself unlocks the phone. (Even if there is fingerprint, pattern or password lock). You can just give a command at 3am from your bed and set the alarm, increase decrease volume and brightness, control you tube (but can not take back control once it starts to play). Google search. and stuff like that. So makes high level sense.
