I have ordered Moto x2 32GB for Rs 17999 from flipkart even though I could have bought Moto X Play for the same price. I preferred Quadcore X2 for many reasons over the Octacore X play. Mainly this is ex- flagship model of Moto and they are not going to go low on it. X Play has Snappy 615 - 1.7 Ghz Octacore while X2 has snappy 801 - 2.5 Ghz quadcore. The result is like 8 strong donkeys vs 4 strong elephants. I like elephants btr. (Dont fight over it guys. Thats why Snap Dragon 801 supports 4K while Snappy 615 does not.)
Also the AMOLED vs IPS LCD. Admitting the fact that both the cameras are not good, I left that out.
I always like a small phone with BIG dispaly (5.2 inch, 420 ppi) than a BIG phone with BIGGER display (5.5inch.. 401 PPI) of same resolution. Read that our eyes' capacity is 360 ppi. making PPI irrelevant.

Main advantage of X play is that it has a dual Sim. so a person using 2 sim can prefer x play but a person using 2 whatsapp accounts will need 2 phones(like me).
Another thing is X Play has expandable memory which gives a bigger room. Well.. that is a loss for my 32 GB X2, but... who all buys a 64gb memory card?? Well... I bought a 16 GB USB 3.0 pendrive OTG which has dual head.. one for computer and another for mobile USB for Rs 522. Happy... Richer people can buy 64 GB of the same. For me X Play failed due to very low powered 615 which brutally failed before Lenovo K3 Note having a mediatech chip and almost same features for Rs 8000 less... (I am not supporting K3 note)

        Moto x 2014
        pros
        faster processor(801)
        better design

        moto x play
        pros
        bigger battery

Sham, 29 Nov 2015Just planning to bye moto x play 16 gb Should I go for thi... moreI've been using this phone for a month and I love it! As you can see here from all the comments made, there are three weak points of this phone:

          - Camera isn't perfect under low light conditions.
          - Battery is ok for one day. Do not expect more than that.
          - There is no sd card slot, which is biggest disadvantage of the phone from my point of view.

But these are definitely acceptable. I'd recommend you to go for it! Price/performance ratio is amazing, though.

I've had this phone for a couple of months. Prior phone was a Samsung Galaxy SIII.
On the whole, I like this phone. I complained about the battery life of the Galaxy, this phone is better but it is newer as well.
A big negative in my view is not having a microSD card slot. The specs list 16/32GB storage but I don't know how to get 32G. Mine has 16GB and that space includes apps. I've been playing with Google Cardboard and many of the apps are quite large so I don't install them. Otherwise, Cardboard is a hoot!
The camera is good but does not compare to the functionality of the Galaxy III camera. It's good enough, though.
Looking at the price of the phone, I'm paying approx $13/month over two years for this phone. I think that's a good deal considering most of the popular smartphones go for well over $20/month (VZ).

All you stated was "When will be marshmallow update be available fo Moto X indian variabt?". Nowhere in that sentence do you mention anything about battery optimization or the Doze mode. I will ignore your childish insult and help you with your enquiry. I also own a Nexus 5 which has the Marshmallow OS on it and I can inform you that it is the worst version of Android so far. I used to get 2 days use from a charge on Lollipop but now struggle to get a full day's use with Marshmallow. That, plus other problems I am experiencing has forced me into looking for ways of installing Lollipop back on the phone.

Secondly their is no point which apps will you use on marshmallow, you can run almost every app even on Ice Cream Sandwich and upgrading your phone doesn't means you ll get special app to run on that version. The thing I am looking forward to is the battery optimization and doze mode on marshmallow which is said to improve battery life of your phone and everyone knows battery life really suks on this one.
You are one of the most stupid persons I have came across on this forum, if you don't know about the information being asked then you must not offend others. Get a life dude and stop putting negative responses over internet.

Answer ONE question - What app have you got on your phone that wont run on Lollipop? Why is it so important to have Marshmallow. You can't, because your phone runs perfectly well with the OS it has now.
