The audio quality is far superior than most phones on the market. Calls are very clear. Very very slim 7 mm is about the same thickness as 6 credit cards stacked. Even after one years use, I only charge my battery once every 5-7 days. The display can be read in broad daylight or dark night.

I have been checking out this phone and haven't seen anything in specs or discussion about caller i.d. Will it display the name from phonebook, the number, either or both for incoming calls? Also wandering how it shows up from an outbound call? Haven't seen anything in specs or advanced codes regarding caller i.d. at all. IMHO - I think this is a great PHONE, stylish and simple, a PHONE or FONE I guess.

Amazed that this is the worst phone i've ever seen in my life. Wow it has nothing. It looks plastic, there's no outbox, font is terrible, its basically a piece of crap. The first cell phone i ever had that was bigger than my house phone was better than this thing!
Unless your looking for a call only phone, dont get it.

Narahari Nath S, 05 Oct 2008For all those who think this phone is not good: do you stil... moreThis is one cool phone on the block.
But sms that's a pain. One big point is, it doesn't display . (dot, period) in sms and there's nothing like lowercase or UPPERCASE just a 16 segment display. It sure looks Geek :)

If your sick of buying $200 phones, dont message, and really want a phone..... that is just a PHONE then this phone is great. It has the longest battery life and loudest ring tone of any phone I have ever owned.
I use this phone on the T-mobile network in Connecticut and works just as good as my W510.
I have had no problems with this phone unlike my W510 that died after I dropped it onto the carpet.
I see there are some complaints about this phone, but I think we all know, they are people who bought this phone thinking it could e-mail, message, and fly to the moon.
I just needed a phone and I have a pc to do anything else.
In conclusion, This phone is like an old-school cell phone from 10 years ago except with more battery life and better reception. If you were still in diapers 10 years ago you will probably not like this phone but if you are sick of breaking expensive phones with options you never use then this is the phone for you.

For all those who think this phone is not good: do you still use a computer for e-mails & games, a CD player, a DVD player and a camera? If yes, why? You have your phone, right?
This phone lets me do what I want with a phone: Phone calls and SMS. And has the "extras" that I need such as sleekness and battery life. It is black, and it is beautiful!

I got one of these phones last year to go camping. I was camping at the World Jamboree and the only way to charge the phone for 3 weeks was to get ripped off with the scouts and pay them to charge it (despite the fact that we'd all volunteered our time to be there). So rather than pay them I got this phone as I'd heard the battery life was so superb, and it really was, it lasted me for the whole of the World Jamboree as an emergency phone, I also took my Razr V3xx with me, and paid them once to charge that, after that though I didn't trust them with my phone again as they pulled the Motorola M logo off the phone and so used the F3 when the Razr went dead. It was superb.

Scott, 04 Sep 2008Has anybody figured out how to reduce the font size?? SMS ... moreYou can't reduce the font size, it uses an LCD display, like an alarm clock so it everything is a standard size.

The only issue I am having with this phone is that it doesn't keep record of all calls (especially received) in history. Some calls are just being ignored and not shown, even though I am sure there was a call between other two shown calls. Maybe I am missing something?

This phone does what it has to do, an occasional email, storing numbers in a phone book, calling and answering incoming calls.
Up to now (> 1 year) no failures.
It fits well in the pocket of my shirt, so I have it always with me.
For 25 €, this is an excellent choise.

Meant to be simple to use, all I can say is B*llocks!
I work in a phone shop and I've never had so many returns on phones like this one.
This may be cheap but certainatly not cheerful. I'll say if your a person who needs a backup phone "Only for making calls" then this will do.

I got the F3 for my wife as an in between phone until the new iPhones were released. But they're having so many problems that she still has the F3.
You'll note from the other reviews that this is a bare bones phone. If you want a phone that you can manually enter phone numbers, press dial to talk and retrieve voice mail then buy it.
If you want to do anything else (like answer an incoming call) then this isn't the phone for you. If you want a phone that when you get angry at someone you can throw it at them then this phone is for you too. It is small, lightweight and inexpensive. Thus you probably won't do too much damage to the person you're throwing it at and you won't be angry when it breaks in the process.
If you're traveling this might be a good phone because no one will steal it. And if they do you'll simply laugh at the thought of them trying to resell it to someone on the street.

Some people say I am "downgrading" from a razr, but this is easily the best phone I have ever used or owned. Some say the lack of features is a downside but it has everything I will ever need. It has only 7 ring tones for those who care, but i thought they were all very modest and catchy, a welcome change from the [hones that have some horrid song by 50 cent blare out every times they are contacted. The energy efficiency and durable design are a feat of modern engineering. The Motofone even makes my sister and her Sidekick feel jealous.

Cheap and cheerful phone which cost me £1.99 which also gave me a £5 voucher so I'm quids in already. Actually, it's not cheap and cheerful. Just cheap but having lost my expensive Sony this phone covers the main base. If I lose it then I've lost very little. The font size is daft and would appeal to your blind granny only. It does the basics and for me that's fine.

I was buy this phone for ten minutes, and i feel so regret to buy this set.
One thing which make me regret is the font. Anything is good except font style and size. It is not for messaging purpose, it's for phone call only.
