you know what guys, simply go for low end nokias.
this dam phone costs US$37/- and the nokia 1112 costs US$42. for a mear $5 difference you'll be lot more comfortable using nokia.
sometimes motorolas are crazy to put a beautiful looking mobile with minus features. BIG DEAL.

I have got some doubts on this phone.
(a) I got a single sheet manual which is not complete. Is there any other detailed manual ? (b) Is manual network selection possible while roaming ? If yes, how ? (c) How many hours battery should be charged while charging first time (c) On pressing ***111*(action button) one number is appearing. What setting is it ?
Anybody has got answers, please ?

This is simply torture. It wouldn't be surprising if someone of the Microsoft GUI department designed the entire phone, enslaving a bunch of engineers with some hellish spells.
The keyboard is just awkward, the phone has no text anywhere in the interface - only icons, it seems it can't even reply to an SMS with any of the buttons.
The display is two lines of ridiculously huge characters - a long cell phone number (xxx-xxx-xx-xx) won't even fit. To top it all off, the phone does not have a shift-key function (all letters are lowercase no matter what), and the phone ringer/speaker is ridiculously mute.
Apparently this is targeted at either elderly people or people with exceedingly low intellect (though it does threaten with making anyone with a low intelligence even sillier).
If anything ever deserved a 1/10 score, this is it. Maybe even 0/10. This phone has cost roughly 35 Euro here, and it was 70 Euro too much (in the very least).

For all the manufacturer claims of long battery life, my F3 lasts about 5 days with few calls. My Nokia 1100 lasts about 15. So much for the energy efficient new display technology.

Six characters of text maximum per screen!? Ridiculous - you have to scroll three screens just to read a phone number. A basic mono LCD screen as used on Nokia 1100 is superior to this pathetic screen in every way, and just as easy to read in strong sunlight. Just a shame they have all gone on to crap color screens now.

Bought this for an elderly, partially sighted relative who was having trouble with a dated nokia 3330 and she loves the F3. The large font size on the screen, ease of use of buttons (one touch no menus) to simply make and receive calls and send text messages, as well as being able to hear the options selected spoken back is excellent.
This is a no frills phone, but that is the intention. Comparable to phones for the elderly market and people with vision problems, £15 is an excellent price tag. It's not perfect, but when the other 'accesible' phone alternatives are circa £350, Motorola are onto a winner.

I wouldn't have bothered had I known, as this is a mediocre phone. Screen scratches VERY easily (despite contrary claims from Motorola), battery life is a fraction of that quoted, screen is far too basic making SMS nigh on impractical. Call quality is however good, with nice audio tone from Earpiece. But go for the most basic Nokia instead - much better value and better in most every way.

LOL Yeah, I'm buying it too today. I agree, motorola rules on all cellphones except all their other phones.
At last a cellphone, not a batman gadget! Thanks
w00t!
