Once again the 5MB is only for ringtones and pictures. When using the Mobile phonetools, you can cut any part of a song you want as a ringtone. Right there you're creating a file that's MAX 400kb if you don't make the whole song a ringtone (the phone only rings for little over 20 secs.
The Pebl also has an amazingly sharp screen with a nice sounding ringer speaker. Battery life is VERY good too there's no question about it.
I'd explain how to make an amazing sounding ringtone by partially avoiding mobile phonetools. But it's a bit long. I'll do it if some of you are interested.

This phone is sooooo cool!!!! I have it in white, i got it from argos 4 £79.99 on T-Mobile. The 262k TFT is really good. The camera is ok, not the best but not the worse. It don't matter about the memory because ppl who want a phone for memory can go a phone with lots of memory. This is a phone 4 ppl who want 2 keep up into the trend. Its Brilliant!!!!!!! Go buy it from argos!!!!!!!

I have this mobile phone, it's so pretty but it doesn't have enough memory to save my favorite songs! And the battery goes low in 2 or 3 days! I think Motorola is not the best because of it, and my cell phone doesn't work very well, all the time it turns off... It's a really mess!!!

I agree .. the pebl is a superb design and unlike so many other phones has a true sense of quality. Just look at that serious metal hinge ..now THAT is cool engineering. I have had no probs at all with this little masterpiece. Only thing.. if you have a big thumb it could be tricky.

Hey. I recently got this phone and when trying to transfer the text messages from my other phone [a total of 50], it only got 10 of them transfered, and then said that it's memory was full...I don't really understand this and if any of you know what the problem might be, please send me an e-mail ASAP @ thogebucril@hotmail.com
Thanks!

My boyfriend recently bought this phone for me and it is by far the best phonbe I have ever owned and I have owned over 20. It is so simple to use, light and feminine (in the pink any way). The memory is a bi small at only 5mb which can only hold a 20 pictures and maybe 3 songs if you're lucky. It doesn't crash or freeze like other phone and the buttons are so easy to use. The backlight when in the dark is a little faint but you can still make out the numbers with the lines being more prominant. It has a really smart way to open it too hard to explain but it's so addictive and cool looking. The callers name appears on the front display when incoming call and the sound is perfect. The camera is wonderful although it is less than a 1.3 that is more common these days, it is of fantasic quality. Also the signal is great. I really do recommend this phone for people who would rather call and text than use there phone to listen to music - you want music i recommend the sony ericsson w300i. BUY IT NOW - you won't be disappointed!!!!

Ok guys THIS IS IMPORTANT
What about the KEYPAD BACKLIGHT???
today i was about to buy a beautiful black Pebl, but when i tried to see if the keypad letters and numbers where visible in the dark, i saw NOTHING, just the curved lines on top of the buttons..
Could you pleeease tell me your experience with the Pebl in the dark??
and honestly... is the backlight shown in the advertisement real? =S

I've had the phone 3 mos and used it continually. If you need a phone it is worth every penny. It is a compact, rugged, reliable PHONE that will handle email, IM and limited web access. Much more ergonomic and sturdy than pocket piercing sharp-edged Razr models. Kids hate it because it is "only" a serious phone -- not an MP3 player, hi-rez camera, PC or media center. It will sometimes trip up as most phones do and have to be rebooted, but no big deal. Most glitches are really network and not phone problems. The phonebook is a little clunky--read the manual and it works fine. Buy the $20 software to customize, backup or keep an extensive phonebook. The voice recognition and voice number dialing is worth the price -- do train it to your voice. Turn off Bluetooth when not needed and the battery life is good for 3 - 4 days standby. Just charge it in the evenings. The voice quality is great, and signal is there in areas a Nokia cannot be used. By the way, T-Mobil is 1000% better than Cingular.

I am using this phone for more than three month and except the limited memory I do not have any problem with this mobile phone. Before I forget, people love its style.
