I love the design and would like to buy one, I don't mine the features is enough for me as I have many phones to play MP3, Mpx camera etc. What I mean I just buy for the "LOOK". One thing stopping me for buying this phone, is the expandable memory!!! I'm pretty sure Motorola could put hot swap t-flash/micro SD upto 512meg as they did on razr V3i. Maybe PEBL U6i??? Why not Motorola? Since you are introducing for new color for PEBL series, why not at the same time upgrade to U6i. I'm pretty sure is more attractive to all of us...!!!! Pls consider Moto, since I will get one in brown as I saw in HK.

that's bacause there's a problem with the electronics of the phone. i had the same problem with my v600. send it back to a service centre and get it fixed.

sad to say this is the worst phone i ever have, its power keep going off and i need to switch on the phone at least 7 times a day. Sometimes by a shake of the phone, power just switches off immediately, and when i received the call, the phone also switches off by itself. It look stylist and presentable but almost unuseable. I do not know how to group the phone address and there isn't a way to organise the phone. I thought this phone photo was better than my previous 2mega pixel camera phone, but only 2 out of 10 picture can be kept. memory is not enough for me. Still Regret. Brought at phone at SG$550 and after a week price drop to SG$250 and a month later SG$128. Can't believe it. Big Regret.

I have had my pebl 3 weeks now and thought i would tell everyone how it's going. Well the phone looks far better then most phones on the market today. The feel and looks are spot on. I want to talk about the sound, even though it's only got 24 channel sound, it sounds louder and better then my wifes D600.
When looking for buy this phone I knew i never needed a super dupa 2MP camera or mp3 player, hence why i choose this phone. The camera is still decent enough and playing mp3 as rings it very good. Iv just split an mp3 to about 40 secs long and added it to the phone. It's not as though i'll leave the phone ringing for a bit before i answer it.
This is my first motorola and im pleased with the layout. Some of the themes look good and wallpapers look really sharp on the screen.
Java wise the phone is good aswell, Im playing games like sensible world of soccer, Cannon fodder and loving it. I plan on getting plenty more games for my pebl.
The office tools are ok aswell, alarm clock and memo recorder and planner work well and im happy with them. Blue tooth works just fine. The only problem is that om my wifes D600 once the phones are connected she can browse my phone and take pics, sound files and video's if she wishes. where as i can send a single file but cannot browse ofther phones to see what other files they have that i could use.
The only problem i could see with this phone is the lack of memory. But since iv loaded my phone up with 4 games, some newer ringtones and wallpapers i still have 4mb left. This was after removing the pre-installed java apps.
all in all im very pleased with my new phone and hope many other people enjoy there Pebl.

I got my brand new, £200 motorola pebl at the beginning of Feb 2006 which I upgraded to from a Samsung E720. It's now the 8th March, and I am on my third one - this one doesn't work properly either! So I am swapping over to the Samsung D600. The 1st Peble i bought, the screen didn't come on. The 2nd one, when anyone phoned me, and I flipped the phone open, I couldn't speak to them - I had to remove the battery and then phone them back! The third one continuously asks me to insert the sim card, even though it's in. I have contacted Motorola to tell them the problems I am having with their flagship phone, and they told me there's nothing they can do about it, it must be 'bad luck'. But 3 bad ones out of 3, I don't think so! Please hurry up, Mr Postman, and bring me my Samsung, I should never have changed to Motorola.

Hi, I just got the phone today and I'm very impressed. It has so many features and, as I'm not into fiddly technical phones, I find it very easy to use. I love the sleek design, I just wish they would bring out a hot pink version like they did with the RAZR ;o) I'd give this two thumbs up!

Just got the phone recently very happy with it! Used to have the moto v547... so it is
a big change, and a good change deffo a step up for Moto! Those people that say the fone is for girls wtf eh? If anything the fone is for men black,stylish,smart,easy 2 use, Good techs! Most of you are probably just pissed off coz u aint got one. Any way the PEBL ROCKS!

you can upload actual mp3 format songs to the fone but as you only get 5mb of memory i wudnt bother as you will use up all your space

I needed help finding out the s/w version of the device. I tried going through the settings -> phone status, but the 'other information' option is missing in the menu screen. In case someone of you could give me some information on this, it would be a great help.

Hey does any1 know how to speed up ringtones that you have made. i cant work out how to do it and it isnt mentioned in the booklet.
