AnonD-13978, 11 Aug 2011when unlocked this phone can and will definitely work on an... morefirst of all thanks for answering kabj and anonymous.let me see if i understood right i'm getting old and technology is changing as we speak.anyways,i'm with att and i know they have 4G will or won't work in 4g in gsm mode att? it does not worth to buy this beauty just for voice usage and only data in wi-fi mode or at least 3g that it would be nice.if thats the case i will go for the sony ericsson xperia pro that has the physical keyboard.i was willing to sacrifice the physical keyboard for this handsome set but if i won't be able to use data .bla,bla,bla. thanks a lot guys and be safe.

frodo, 10 Aug 2011either you guys are too lazy or to selfish to help me out w... morewhen unlocked this phone can and will definitely work on any GSM (TMO/AT&T) carrier for 'Calls' only, but not with their 'Data' services for 2 reasons 1) it does not have the 2g data(EDGE/GPRS) radio and 2) does not have GSM 3G radio i.e HSDPA/HSUPA/UMTS built in. imo nt worth using it c gsm sims.

Hello.If i go ahead and buy this phone w/o a contract to sprint,yes i know $550.00 since it has the GSM slot capability should i be able to use it with any gsm carrier or it has to be unlocked first? and when unlocked can be used as any gsm phone? unfortunately there is not an unlocked version of this beauty and i really like it but sprint it's been always very abusive with their fees they charge more than they should.well i will really appreciate any opinions on this matter.thanks.

hello there humans.is there an unlocked gsm version of this phone? don't want to go with an expensive contract. i'm going for the sony ericsson xperia pro but i would sacrifice the physical keyboard if i knew for sure that this phone (photon)will have an unlocked gsm brother.the design is so awesome and the functions.i do believe GOD designed this phone him self. nnnnaaaaa.just a silly comparison.ok my friends i hope a good soul will share some answers or a few opinions.bye now

I recently got this phone from Sprint and by far it beats everything they have to offer. The build is superb. Enjoy how different it looks to all the other large touch screen phones. Camera is better than I expected. Had the Evo 3D previously and hated how bad 2D pictures came out while indoors. Phone is fast and the best part about it is the earpiece and external speakers. They are LOUD!!. Finally I can hear my phone no matter how far or how loud my surrounding environment is. The kickstand is a blessing, especially when listening to Pandora while I clean my home.
