Can anyone suggest how to increase the Battery life of Motorola Q9h. The present battery in my Q9h is BT60 and it is finished in China and I think it is manufactured in 20071010 as per date stamp on the it and as per sticker 2007 and month 12

Very good and reliable phone! I would recommend this to anyone. Phone feels solid in the hands (not cheap) and very duraple.. survived many drops. I've had it for more than a year. Good screen quality and speaker and battery last forever. for people on-the-go there's a car charger included in the box with very nice and bright blue LED light. I spilled some honey on my phone and decided to wash it (i know it's stupid) but it worked well after it dried except left arrow key which need more harder pushing now )). I wouldn't change this phone but I'm getting Vertu Signature S next week as a gift so this phone will finish it's life in my filing cabinet....

does it support pdf files and microsoft office file and how is the intertnet surfing and downloadding experiance of the phone. Is there any hang problem in this phone. plz reply

You want to put underscore ( _ ) in message.
Press the button bleow character "A" and press the up arrow key below the "Enter" key. You will come to Text Option screen. Under this secect #$% and select the first charceter ( _ ) which is the underscore character. I hope this will help you.

I bought the phone abour 26dats back on 5th May from HotSpot Mobile phone chain for Rs 9900/-. May be you can try the same from that chain, if its available.
Motorola presently does not recommend/ support upgrade to 6.1

I have always been in love with the specifications this phone had to offer right from the time it was announced in Feb 2005, but I found it was priced quite high (INR 18,000) compared to the features it offered.
I finally booked mine yesterday responding to the price drop (INR 9000). I'm not sure if Motorola has dropped the price globally; I ordered mine with Indiatimes Shopping.
I love everything about the phone except that it lacks WiFi. I currently own a O2 XDA Atom which I had picked up 4 years ago for INR 36,500 and I still think Q9h is an upgrade for me considering the features I use in the phone. And for the price offered now; I think the deal is awesome.
Had bought Motorola V3i for my wife about an year ago and we have never been any happier from any phone before. The demo piece I checked out in a mall sported the same robustness and ease of use.
I'm not a big fan of Windows mobile; but for a hardware like Q9h, I won't mind it. If I'm not wrong, Microsoft had offered a free upgrade from Windows Mobile 6 Standard to 6 pro sometime back. Need to check if this option is still open online.
I usually use my phone on the move and with my current phone O2, it quite difficult for me to select out and call a contact from my phone book. Using stylus is not always possible in the real time scenario. I narrowed down on Q9h considering that its not a touch screen phone and there are sufficient buttons on its outside.
I have big hands and almost all mobile fit small on my palms. Reaching out to all buttons while typing a SMS is quite difficult. Q9h had a great fit plus its full QWERTY keyboard comes as a boon to me.
Pros:
- Designed for big hands/thicker fingers
- QWERTY Keyboard
- Sturdiness, Robustness
- Soft back lit keypads
- Opera mini over Pocket IE
- Quick response
Cons:
- Lack of WiFi
- Third party office software instead of Mobile Office
Need to wait for the phone. Will post more on actual performance when I get to use it.

Pros: QWERTY keyboard, decent camera performance
Cons: Synchronisation problems with computer, Single slot slot for battery recharging, data transfer, earphone; bulky size, poor battery life, Windows Mobile 6 standard and small screen.
Motorola is a big international brand and Moto Q 9H seemed very promising particularly its easy to use keypads. I purchased my Moto Q 9H in February 2008 at Rs. 18,000 with high hopes in New Delhi, India. However, after using it, I found that its not worth the high price I had paid for it because of the CONS mentioned above.
The fact that they are now selling it at below Rs. 10,000 price India proves my point.
I was lured by their advertisement and I feel myself at a loss because of such massive reduction in its price over less than 1 and half years time.
Many handsets are available at this price with much better facilitities like Windows Moblie 6 professional.
