I had this phone for about 6 months until it was stolen :(
I highly recommend it. It is a solid phone with an awesome style, I got so many compliments for this phone it was crazy.

I walked into the three shop to buy this phone, but changed my mind when I saw the weak hinge. It is like holding a floppy sandal to your ear. It doesn't lock very well. It feels "broken". I tried another elsewhere and it seemed firmer, but still kind of floppy.
I wait a while to see if later models are improved.

I just got my V9 Ferrari version. Icredible feeling with all those Ferrari touches everywhere. Music is great and especially the leather Ferrari case. High price tag but since limited edition. GO FOR IT

The phone UI is unbelievable fast, no lags whatsoever in each and every action, of course loading Java games take time, but that's 3/4 seconds top ;-)
The camera is very sharp with incredibly vivid colors and good sharpness, also you can turn the shutter off (I know that is important to some guys haha)
The phone does have dashes xxx-xxx-xxx- and so on . You can also program it not to show them.
I have a 4 GB card on mine, but keep on mind that's the European/Hong Kong version, 8 GB is somehow confirmed to work too.
If you buy the AT&T one, you only go as high as 2 GB.
Any other questions ask away, I'll be uploading pics and maybe a video of the phone in action so you can see I'm not just full of it as many other people that just like to annoy and bash brands.

can anyone tell me if this phone has a problem of lagging when using it? i know motorola's can have a slow UI

hey guys im looking at buying this phone but im reading on certain sites that the hinge mechanism is loose and doesn't lock into place properly. Is anyone else having this problem and is it enough for it to become unbearable in the future.

Go for the new Motorola V9 FERRARI. This is a very sleek mobile with a beautiful Feather Ferrari case..........If you can not buy the Ferrari then just buy the V9 Ferrari. And since you are at it, buy a Ferrari matching cologne and feel like an Enzo man!!

Does the razr2 v8 automatically separate the digits when entering the number? i.e: After the first three digits, does a dash and/or a hyphen automatically come after this; which would be directly between the first three and last four digits? This would be very important, as it would determine if I purchase or decline.

Hopefully at later stage or soonest MOTO can comeout with a new design unit of flip phone which a lot more features and the most is to reduce the weight.But please in future also to come in a package the Leather POUCH as it will be very nice to use the limited edition pouch when u buy the new HP.

Battery common lah if u always hang on the phone..but if not can last for 2 days

ami, 13 Jun 2008can you please tell me good and bad difference between moto... moreV9 - u can slot external memory card but V8 built in 1GB only...so if ur phone got problem all ur data is carry together to the repairs center lah...

hey under the settings of this phone- under java settings, is it possible to turn the java application backlight off. the motorola v3x can do it. just wondering if the v9 can do it?

The Bad:
. Really average battery life
. External display is very dim and of poor quality, with no option to increase its brightness
. Loves fingerprints
. Huge when flipped open- it reaches the other side of my chin (im an adult)
. Very little improvement on old moto UI
. No Software disk included
. No 3.5mm slot support
. Cant see external display in sunlight
. No Usb included
. Java games shrink to 2" when playing: to make room for signal and battery bars
. No screen cleaner
. Few additional features to make u smile.
