Why is everyone going on about Motorola fitting things into a smaller space, have you seen the dimensions of the SE W880i ( they are so small its crazy! Like the size of a iPod Nano!). I'm not a SE fan but don't make the technology seem special, even if the design is great.

marcus, I think when u fold the fone u can use the 2MP cam as ur video cam. Thats what the large external screen is for. Its awesome. Lets u use the 2MP as secondary cam. I like this sort of fone.

I am sold to this phone, after ages Moto came up with such a phenomenal gear, looks outsells the I phone and top of that HSDPA even pushes him further on nearly top slot. what else guys.. it has all those stylish curves and sleekness that the former cousin lacks. two thumbs up for this baby..

One of the same. Design is NOT really fresh and NO SPECIAL features to wake the Moto spirit. Changes NOT fast enough.
MOTO - Get a new team on board. Re-engineer the damn marketing & R&D department. Retire the existing teams and start fresh. Do it NOW before is too late. And, stop producing $15 mobiles to improve your profitability and bring us something to be proud of.

Hey, to the Excessive Personality Adorer of Nokia. You get what about Motorola ? Motorola is number one and Nokia is number bad. why ?
Nokia : the covers are always plastic, the design is always bricks, bricks, bricks (big, thick, crude), symbian os always runs slow, slow, slow and complicated. More disaponited for Nokia.
But why Nokia is first in rank board. Why ?
Because you are the Excessive Personality Adorer. The cult blind you.
Wait !!! Huh !!!

Nice design but the battery life is very poor for a modern phone.

you know what, this phone is great!! good job moto maybe I´m not agree about the O.S in this one (V9) but at least it is fully loaded into a thinner and better phone, so if you don´t like moto keep yourelf a bad comment, because I´m tired that some of the fans from Nokia and Sony Ericsson (no offence) are insulting our taste any time a moto phone comes out, at least for once let us enjoy what a really fashionable and unique phone is like the RAZR series, which i´m sorry to say (for those who hate the wonderful RAZR series) is an iconic phone, this phone is great but I agree the O.S system should be Linux any way i like V8 better but the V9 is great too.

sorry for the harsh tone, but WAKE UP MOTO...but its like building a ferrari but fitting it with cheap plastic seats!!!
I'm so disappointed, motorola, because hardware wise, this would the phone i would have liked to buy.
Wake Up Jim Wicks!!!!... Don't you realize you own all the aesthetics of the phone being chief designer AND that I think includes the look & feel of the phone!!! not just the hardware.
AT THE VERY LEAST the icons and wallpaper should be changed regularly!!! Come on these are fashion phones for god sakes...ppl that buy it probably dunt wanto be caught in lasts years fashion.

what is the whole point of this phone????
everything is good about this phone..you got 3G, external memory slot, EDGE....but then comes the shocker...the old synergy platform(i.e the 3-4 year old motorola software platform with icons designed using microsoft paint by a bunch of software engineers that failed art class!!!)
wake up motorola!!! at least change the icons and wallpaper every couple of years!!!

Anyone who says this is JUST ANOTHER piece of crap or JUST ANOTHER RAZR is really stupid.
Sure it's another model on the line, but it's different, other then having 2mp, QVGA screens and now recently with the V6 series, touch sensitive music buttons + A2DP capabilities and 3G UMTS.
Really, this unit reaches out even further to make sure RAZR, stays RAZR. Thinner, it lives up to it's already tired out standards. But as their ads were with their first V3 series, they should really announce this phone as the nearly hidden phone when turned to it's side.
Having such capabilities and in such a small package, they've even reached a thinner package with features higher then Samsung.
SE has nothing against this and nothing to compete with it in the range of thin, music capable, touch sensitive, large screened, 2mp cam, 3G UMTS capable phone. ESPECIALLY as a flip phone. (No offence to SE, their quality is really good personally, but the design of Motorola will always appeal to me.)
Which brings me to my next point.
The W580 and S500 from SE were looking pretty good for my stocking stuffers this year, but I think that BOTH V8 & V9 are going to be racing to my stockings with higher thoughts for it.
Any Nokia users who come on here to flame Motorola, NOW JUST HAVE NO LIFE. I mean, this phone displays how you can have a few more things in such a small package. If MOTO can do it, then at LEAST Nokia can bring it down to the design factor and slimline as SE WITHOUT riding on or copying a current innovation from them. The N95? Could've been smaller, I see. Maybe the size of a W810. At least that would've been astounding from Nokia. Especially if they didn't really care to put in a 3" screen. Who needs more viewing area when size, versatility, abilities and capabilities are what we really need now. Not another motorola A6188 branded as Nokia with newer technology injected into it...

If they had only added the auto-focus into the 2MP camera, this would have been my ultimate mobile phone.
Why oh why? But still, I might just get this one since Motorola promises a new interface. Wonder how long it'll take them to release it in Malaysia.

yah...not another razr....but to be fair, this design can withstand time...its something which you'll look at it for a long time without getting sick of it....nokia phones, dont think have any to achieve that (i carried 6280 and n80 before)...SE phones can be quite exciting to hold, many designs are really eyecatching ( i used S700 and W810 before), but that feeling wont last long...i keep away from all other brands which fails to excit me always, except for O2. the only razr i regret is V3xx...now i carry V6 maxx.
