Motorola Razr 40 series is launching soon in India

Sagar, 03 June 2023

The Motorola Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra unveiled a couple of days ago will launch soon in India. This revelation comes from Motorola's Indian branch, which took to Twitter to tease the debut of its latest foldables in the world's second-largest smartphone market.

Motorola is yet to explicitly confirm whether it will launch both Razr 40 series smartphones in India or just one. But, the source code of the promo page set up by the brand on its official Indian website includes "MOTOROLARAZR40FAMILY," which suggests the company could launch both smartphones in India.

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and packs a 3,800 mAh battery. Its 6.9" primary display is an LTPO AMOLED panel having FullHD+ resolution and 165Hz refresh rate, whereas the 3.6" cover screen, which is also an AMOLED type, has a 144Hz refresh rate and 1,066x1,056-pixel resolution.

The Razr 40 Ultra sports two cameras (12MP primary + 13MP ultrawide) on its cover and one (32MP selfie) inside the centered punch hole of the folding screen.

The Motorola Razr 40, on the other hand, has the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip at the helm and packs a 4,200 mAh battery. Its folding screen has the same diagonal and resolution as the Ultra model's panel, but the refresh rate is down to 144Hz. The size of the cover display is also reduced to 1.5", and so is the resolution, which is 368x194 pixels. It's also worth mentioning that this is a 60Hz panel.

The Razr 40, like the Ultra model, features a 32MP selfie shooter. However, the 13MP ultrawide camera has an FOV of 120˚ instead of 108˚, while the primary camera uses a 64MP sensor.

Except if you're a big fan of (or simply can't trust anything out of) Samsung and/or it's One UI, I don't see any reason to choose refurbished Z Flip 4 over brand new Razr 40 Ultra. Not a bit.

Idk if I'm the only one having problem with the battery it's a 3800mah with 165hz + 6,9 screen it doesn't matter the gen 1 is good or bad with the battery saving that moto won't get up to 7h

Look at china price, its $569 for Razr 40 so $600 for India doesn't sound too crazy. Don't forget it has snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset
