However, I'm a pretty hardcore phone user and my Moto razr 40 ultra lasts me a full day most of the time, occasionally requiring a mini top up at around dinner time

Any UK Ultra 40 owners confirm the UK version takes 2 nano sim cards? And does the peach fuzz colour have the leather back?

I've updated to Android 14, and my phone lags lot at beginning after every time i restart my phone, & with the camera too lagging quite lot, but it disappears only like after an hour, anyone else experiencing lags with this? it's becoming annoying at this point, the phone always operated smoothly with 13 & never had such an issue, the lagging problem at beginning become apparent after updating to Android 14

Finally!! After 1 year Motorola decided to send an Android 14 update.

Motorola have broken android and refuse to even acknowledge they've broken it
Multitasking and app switching on this phone is a disaster, it kills apps so they have to reload even when you've only switched away for a few seconds. Many apps can't even save their settings because the Motorola firmware kills them before they can save anything

Still no sign of android 14 either. I suspect they're taking their time to break it as much as they've broken android 13 before they release it.

I get better background app performance from my 10 year old phones than this pile of crap

A great phone in many ways, camera and battery life especially, but after six months there is a definite crease in the screen. I had a Samsung foldable before and never had this problem.

looks great but i am on my 3rd phone due to constant screen failures one only lasted 24 hours as i said looks great but reliability is terrible but motorola supportdo their best with a flawed product

The multitasking on this phone is awful. It constantly closes down background apps.

Websites will reload when you're trying to use 2fa to log in or switch to another app to get into to fill in forms, games will reload themselves if you switch away to answer a text or email. Music players constantly glitch when playing to Bluetooth in the background!

The included case has a brilliant strap system that makes it easy to use the phone with one hand but it breaks within a month and Motorola refused to sell me a replacement and wouldn't even acknowledge that there are no 3rd party cases with this feature!

Until Motorola fix their broken firmware I recommend avoiding all Motorola Android phones as they have broken Android's best feature in favour of squeezing back tiny bit more from your battery! Still running android 13 with no sign of any updates

It holds for way longer than you would expect. Using the less energy-demanding outer screen makes up for the lack of capacity. The only problem I have with it is that the flashlight sometimes turns off by itself.

After careful decision, and put all cards set in the table, i ended up choosing the Flip 5.

if only Motorola (Lenovo) were more serious about long term support.....Still running Android 13 to this day is unacceptable...

Also the flip has superior and quality materials.
A shame, because the implementation of the OS with the external screen is far better than Samsung.

If Moto want´s to play with the big boys they really need to commit themselves harder to play in the big league.

And yes I´ve been a long user of the latest Edge series so I now what I´m saying

Just be careful. The inner display is basically always protected when the phone is closed. Outer display is tough enough IMO. I always use the provided phone case, tried several others too but the original one is still the best. I'm also rocking Huawei Mate 50 Pro and I like them both. 2 different types of phones each has its cons and pros, and same CPU but they both are excellent IMO. Lastly I'm sure u can't go wrong by purchasing this Moto.

Razr, 20 Feb 2024Hey there, I've been using the Chinese version of this... moreThank you so much.

I´ve red a lot about both devices, and honestly I dislike the Samsung One UI overall experience, which I have on my work samsung A53 5G phone.
The moto looks like the desirable option.

My only concern is the the overall fragile condition about the display, I'm careful still, some questions arise to my mind:
Can I use this device at the beach? What if i drop this phone? Should i use it with a case?

                                        Thank you
