Marco, 24 Sep 2012That would be understandable if the had qHD-res on it's 4.7... moreOnly YOUR eyes. We who have used HD AMOLED phones can see it, and so say all the Note II reviewers as well.

Marco, 24 Sep 2012Get your facts straight before you come spamming here. What... moreThen tell us why the Note II is such a huge improvement over the old NOte? Because of teh new matrix, its a fact that everyone can immediately see that NOte II is way better, sharper and clearer, even the review on this site says it. And hold an Optimus 4X beside a S3, isnt the Optimus much clearer??? Everyone can see it, its so obvious.

I have used Note and other AMOLED HD phones, you have not i think.

You are talking about ONE pixel, but on Pentile one pixel is 1px and 2/3 wide, thats 1.66 pixels. And u cannot see it? then dont get a HD phone, and get your facts straight

tyagaraja, 23 Sep 2012great phone!!! just wish it were proper RGB rather than pen... moreThat would be understandable if the had qHD-res on it's 4.7" display, however it doesn't, and you can't see any trace of it's pentile matrix on that resolution over that screen area. Our eyes are incapable of separating the pixels at this density.

Anonymous, 23 Sep 2012Yes its a simple choice, RAZR HD has AMOLED Pentile display... moreGet your facts straight before you come spamming here. What you once had makes no difference, it's not the same screnn, not size nor resolutione.

"I once had a plasma that didn't have good enough blacks, so obviously nothing can have changed right?" Wrong.

You can not see any pixelation with this high ppi, pentile or non-pentile. Pentile sucks at low ppi, but space pattern is not visible at high ppi, the pixels are too small for the human eye to observe separately at normal - and very close - viewing distance.

And when it comes to colors, Samsung and HTC have been great fans of cartoon colors when calibrating their amoleds, Motorola has not. Though they do offer you to boost the colors IF you want to with colorboost on these new models. I don't like the ugly calibrated sammy and HTC displays at all. Not did I like the horrible pentile of the HTC desire, to easy to see the pixel space. Just as badly calibrated as the S2 as well. S3 is horrible too, but not as extreme as the S2 and Desire

The SAMOLED is an advantage with both bright whites - hopefully as bright as the RAZR M (almost 500cd/m2) - and infinite blacks, not gray and washed out as the Xperia.

Marco, 21 Sep 2012Simple choice really. Similar height and weight, but Moto ... moreYes its a simple choice, RAZR HD has AMOLED Pentile display, that rules it out of teh equation. Its too bad really, i like the RAZR HD more than Xperia T and TX, but i already had an AMOLED phone with Pentile before and im not interested in their pixelation, plus the immature cartoon like colors. And who knows, maybe this is like all SGS fones, with a blue tint where it should be white. Even SGS2 ha this so its not connected to Pentile matrix, just another proof of AMOLED being an immature technology.

RAZR HD has many advantages over Xperia T but none as severe as the AMOLED disadvantage. I wish next time i can get a Motorola, maybe if they use the new AMOLED matrix used in Galaxy Note II it will be acceptable. It bugs me that i have to get a Sony, i wish i didnt but pentile is NEVER AGAIN.

Similar height and weight, but Moto is 1mm slimmer and has both larger and better display, better design and much better battery! :)

And I really don't get why the Xperia T only supports up to 4 fingers, even my old Milestone supported 10 - not that it was an easy fit :p
