hey contemplating, i suggest u get that SE w850. its easier to use and a lot more applications and games are available online. i thnk this razr is a bot too overrated... that's just what i think.

I just traded my V3x for this phone. It is a big improvment. The camara on this phone is 2.0 mega pixels same as the V3x but the quality of the photos are 100% better. yea it only has 50 mb internal but mine came with a 256mb memory card. I do not even use the internal memory. Everything about this phone is better than the V3x. The V3x might be cheaper now but this phone improves all that was wrong with the V3x which i had a lot of problems with. This is one of the best phones Motorola has came out with since the first RAZR.

after a week of use and comparing to my friends' razrs, i realized that damn the looks really really stand out but the features are almost identical to the v3x. of course the maxx has the "3.5G", the new menu, icons, the special flipside w/ the touchpad keys 4 the mp3 , a bit slimmer and maybe slightly smaller. but everything else is the same... the v3x is even way cheaper than this(i mean really really cheaper). true it is so much cooler but the maxx has only 50mb internal memory and the v3x has 64mb. bringing this phone around scares me. i mean the top of the flip is glass and the matte finish. it looks to me that it could be prone to a lot of scratches if u dont buy it a carrying case... anyway its still a good phone if ur a "fashionista" type of person, but if u want functionality and yes also looks at a really low price get the motorola v3x instead of this v6 maxx...

                No, it's more then substantial.
The speaker volume has a higher lvl then the Walkman phones, but no lower then them. Walkman phones can go even less silent.
For having bluetooth between two phones, you have to go to 'Find Me' and it'll make your phone visable for 3 mins. But for my phone, some reason, it turns off the visability after one process/transfer but keeps the bluetooth on.

The headphones on another matter are ok. I need lvl 5 just to listen and sometimes 6 to over come regular noises such as a crowd or in a bus. 7 is too loud. But I don't use the headset very often, since my HBH-DS970 can run up to 6-7 hours, I stick with that because it also has bass boost, spatial audio and a better range of volume.

I read somewhere that the RAZR MAXX earpiece volume is quite soft (or maybe even too soft). Can anyone comment on this?

It seems that all Maxx comes with the wiggle problem. I have emailed Motorola and awaiting their official reply.

This is my fifth Motorola, all have been flip phones (V5, T720, V600 and Razr V3)but the wiggle of the cover has never been as much as with this one.
Actually I still have them all, and I have just compared them to my Maxx and they all sit tight. Not nearly as much wiggle as my Maxx.
Think I´ll contact Motorola aqbout this..

I'm really confused reading the comments. I'm really concerned of buying this model. Is the wiggle of the cover corrected by Motorola?

Can someone advice me shld i go for this or not? if not this which make and model wud be a better option with flip open, bluetooth n a 2MP camera?

                            Help me pls

                                      @Shah

Yeah mate I have the Prange UK one... got rid of the firmware tho and replaced with an undranded one.

Yes it is heavily branded... Homescreen shortcuts is there but can be turned off. However... ur rigt softkey remains locked to Menu while your center left is used only for select. All the icons have been changed to orange ones but the Moto ones are so much better... cant understand why they change it.

On the Orange one u dont get call barring for voice calls... just video calls... u get restrict calls tho so not a prob.

On the Orange u dont get the option of an analogue clock on your display... strictly digital. You dont get all the stuff Motorola installed like the back up, ebay pocket auction, moto set up, moto text and all the games. Orange have replaced them with all that music download stuff etc that u gotta pay for. Also the Orange one does not let u have the MMS Templates... instead u get browser messages offering you templates u gonna have to pay for.

Also with the orange branding... got a few lock ups where the Homescreen is trying to load but never does so ur then stuck with a homescreen u cant modify unless u master reset the phone.

All in all... the unbranded is so much more satisfactory and thank god no more Orange boring and pointless menu icons... eveything is coloured orange.

For those who have the phone on Orange UK, how heavy is orange branding? Is the orange homescreen present, can it be disabled? Are the menu icons also customised? What skins are avilable and lastly what features have been disabled if any? ie OTA firmware updates and java application where network settings can be adjusted depending sim being used.
                                        many thanks in advance
