My bad... meant to say A732 was a slider phone released by Motorola last year summer...with touch sensitive screen... so please accept my correction Kal.

I hear what you say but the fact is Motorola phones aint bad at all... layout maybe be harder than the rest but the fact is like with anything else... once u understand it..it then becomes easy.

Or am i wrong?... dont think so.

Cheers guys... enuffs enuff... we've all made our point.

      Oh I forgot to add...

we all know that Nokia/Motoroall are like king in communication device..they know the tech..but they had their best time in "monochrome age". its time for colors and multimedia features..and that's where they are trying to "catch up". Neither Nokia nor Moto has the "in-house" knwoledge in Mp3 player/Display tech/Camera/camcorder...they simply hired some people with knowhow...thats where Sony(along with erricson) and Samsung come. Today Samsung/SE are biting motos a$$ and sooner or later they are going to go up just because of that fact.

I agree with you, camera quality and resolution is a useless topic to talk about. Till today and even in near future cell phones will never replace a digital camera/camcorder or ipod. Sony is not that dumb that they will release a cell phone with that great quality camera or camcorder and loose their market share in digicam market. Much hyped N93 cant replace a camcorder. 10mp samsung cant replace a regular digital camera.

Bottom line is, a the best cell phone is a device that is nice 'n sleek looking "mobile" device that you can carry in your "pocket", which has most of the features. Peace.

        @Gansta moto

Its amazing to see how much time and effort you have put together to show that how much you believe in Moto and you think positive about them...alaways, always. Im not aginst any brand. Im not a nokia/SE fan..I like nicely designed phones with good features...dont wanna compromise on the design to have best thing. Samsung suits me well that way. I liked V3X design..these news ones looks cool too.

You kept saying that everything is all same just that its being layed out differently, I assume you are a knowledgable person, you must be well aware of that fact that, in motorolla its not being layed out properly compared to the user friendlyness of other brands. Unless you have used other phones you might not know of course.

and wait,... did you just mentioned A780 as slider with touch sensitive buttons?? That was not expected from you Gansta..from when it became a slider..its a flip phone with regular buttons outside. I wont say moto copying the touch sensative thingy....Im not among those who would starts screaming like some moto fans did when they saw D810 (a900 for USA) without knowing that razr and d810 had been released about same time in korea......I believe form factor/tech, anyone can use it. But as all moto supporters always always keep reminding us (that's including you), about who first started cell phone..who 1st had calmshell....in the same spirit you should acknowledge that its Samsung/LG who started the touch sensitive buttons...infact its samsung who came out wiht it 1st and LG made it famous with their "chololate" brand....moto/benQ-siemens are just following the trend.

And please please, when you make a reference with cars, please dont refer moto as Mercedes and BMW. that would be a shame for Mercedes and BMW. Moto is FORD/GM (the most recalled car in the world, but well every american own one or two, and the same goes for Moto). Ofcourse feel happy that RAZR to me is like Ford Mustang. No offence but I was just thinking that you have to be american to have so much faith on Moto. You gotta be.

        Kal
        California too.

            Know what... hush up.

It's great fun to see how you suckaz read the specs of phones and get all excited shouting 3.2Mp, 5Mp and blah blah bullshhhh...

Just tested the 2MP on my v3x against the 3Mp on a Nokia N80... dude's... the v3x was clearer, brighter, more defined and then some. Not being funny but don't be dummies and loose control cos some phonemaker say's it's chucking in a 3.2MP cam... all ya'll do is claim motorolas marketing is brill and blah blah blah... yet ya'll fail to realise that it's all these big line features named by ur preferred phone maker that are actually the main marketing tools... which is why the likes of Nokia and the other copycat phones are owned by every other kid in Europe and their mom... plus her mom too.

Read thru reviews and u'd find that Nokia, LG, Samsung, Sharp etc... all follow the Nokia lead in hooking up their OS... aka copycat OS... and thats a fact guy's i aint hating... which is why you all feel more at home with them and in fact get brainwashed into feeling they're the best... maybe for you but i'll tell u what... when you all have the sensible stuff in your OS like the Lock Application in moto phones... then maybe we'll begin to accept you in the fold of the chosen few... i.e the first company that gave u the mobile phone... or the company that made u feel like Captain Kirk on Startrek with the Startac...and of course the infamous v3... sure ya'll know which one i'm on about.

The motorola OS is not tired...if motorola had the OS it used on the Startac or timeports i'd agree but guy's... stop making yourselves sound silly... it's as up to date on anything you can throw at it just like Windows... same basic software to allow for continuity and easy understanding by it's users... just differently layed out... i.e

You got bluetooth... so do we
u got 3G... so do we
u got T9... we got Itap
u got MP3 player... so do we
u got a camera... so do we
u got a video... so do we
u got games... so do we
            got messages... so do we
            got email... so do we
            got internet... so do we
got Lock application?...no u dont but we do.

want smartphone functions... check the Motorola Q with Windows Mobile 5.0...and if u think thats new then u must have missed the MPX, MPX200, MPX220 and MPX300 ooooh... or Linux based smartphones like the A1200 ya'll aint laughing no more now are you?.... thot so.

and so the list goes on... check whatever...so does motorola... just differently layed out. If u can't understand it then player... go back to school.

I'll let ya'll know... Razr's are not for kids... so if u wanna listen to music all day and play games with ur mates... then get a rubberband phone like u probably already have.

Motorola have stuck to their guns from day one... sensible phones that work well... not too much uneccessary bullshhhh... that look so good it makes it the complete package of what any sensible mature consumer want's. Same way Mercedes and BMW do... change their styling every 7 years or so unlike Honda that do it every year... yet... who's the daddy? Some joker creamed that motorola have just made it's first slider phone... yet look at the a780... thats already a year old, has a touch sensitive outer shell but some fake dude on here claimed moto copied some LG or something... check ur facts dude..it's the other way round... and sincerely... no one copies anyone cos that is technology that has been around for yonkers and some just release sooner than some... cant say the same for the razr design tho cos thats just plain moto... ya'll aint got nothing on that.

Give it a rest haterz... u can only confuse the uninformed few... not those in the know... waste of time.

Rolling 20 Crip gang 4 life!!!

            Compton, California

            RIP:

Tookie WIlliams, Eazy E, Kilomac and my boy Halo... we still doing big tings cuz.

Throw ur C'z up and throw dem Allstars and blue bandanas on and lets ride players... not the haters cos u know round here we got mad heat for ur a$$.

Motorola phones have a tired operating system and just seem to keep on pushing out devices with mediocre feature sets. This phone is good in that it has HSPDA, an evolutionary cellular techology enabling a theoretical maximum of 3.6mbps, and a large screen to utilise it. However, Motorola is now way behind the competition with their feature sets, especially considering this is the top of the range model of the quartet of recently announced phones. Whilst Sony Ericsson has just released the K800i with a fantastic all-round feature set including phenomenal 3.2mp camera, one of the first on a phone truly capable of replacing a low-range dedicated compact camera, MOTOROLA still is at 2mp, and more importantly with no autofocus. Also, the RAZR maxx may be fashionable but it has nothing whatsoever over the v3X save dedicated music controls and HSPDA. Whilst Nokia and Sony Ericsson both have innovative picture blogging services with the N73 and k800i (Flickr and Google respectively) this phone seems to have no defining feature. It also relies on transflash which is currently limited to 1gb, so despite mucis contols, stuggles to replace an Ipod. And it's not exactly got small dimensions either.

Well... if the V3x is anything to go by... then the camera will be as good as any other 2MP camera phone out there... and better believe it... so take it... don't leave it.

                        To Harlekkin,

Actually.. it me who asked YOU (no people)...to find a normal 3G phone... released at the time of the v3x that functions better than the v3x... seems to me you were unable to find any.

Thus, dont even begin to beat down and hate on the v3maxx with so much intense like u did.

Also... look the NEC you mentioned and the phone is really only a spinoff of the razr phones... the keys are a variation... externally it may look diff but you can tell they looked at the v3 before coming up with something different looking bugt inspired by the v3. The LG phones can't even say much about...another slider and another random flip phone that ain't even being made anymore. Goes to show the consumers obviously did not take to it that well.

Don't get me wrong mate this ain't an argument... just the fact that you showed so much contempt for something as petty as a phone yet you don't even have any facts to back up your disposition... kinda lame innit?

For those that moan the v3 design is old... guy's..why dont ya'll look at at cars like Ferrari's, Lambourghini's, Lotus Elise's or even the BMW's, mercedes all the way down to the Mitsubishi Evo... shapes that never change and if the do... always a variation of the previous.

Fact is the clamshell form for cell phones was started by Motorola with the Startac... the clamshell will never die. If onlhy Motorola had the skills and knowhow to come up with an old clamshell form factor and still give you something as sweet as the v3... then in my world it's only sensible you applaud them for it and not act like the madd rapper and instead reign hate and contempt down on it. Also for the dude moaning that motorola bought a BenQ development facility and some guys from Holland or whatever... maybe thats cos it's motorola that have the knowhow and are good at identifying good design skills in people... then u gotta give it to em again cos if it was a problem why will BenQ sell? You seem to be so biased you've actually blinded yorself form realising that those that work for motorola were not born in the motorola building... they are normail people just like you discovered and employed by motorola...given good resources to work with then they give you phones as groundbreaking as the Startac... V.Dot and V3.

BIG UP Motorola... the more they hate the more u know u struck a nerve cos someone's jealous.

                        Like the song goes...

Is it cos the phone is ever shining?
or is it cos the v3's always selling?
maybe cos the v3xmaxx is coming... coming?
dem haters keep talking but never mind dem...NEVER MIND DEM!

No, I'm no secret advertiser. Not for those three brands I mentioned anyway ;)

I'm just saying that those 3 models from NEC & LG are way sexier than this RAZR Maxx.
Someone challenged people to find a better and sexier design than the RAZR, and I think the NEC e636 is much sexier and will be released much sooner than this.
At this stage I can still live without HSDPA (forced to), Australia takes its time to adopt...

And by the way Moto signed up with Ferrari designer firm Pininfarina for their future models and they even acquired a BenQ research and development center, associated development and test equipment and a team of product development engineers in Aalborg, Denmark.

Doesnt all this indicates that their own designers/developers are incapable of producing anything new. No wonder why all the new models are variations of RAZR.LOL

Those who are cellebrating for RAZR's 50th million success...well there is nothing to cellibrate unless you are a moto share holder. Yes, RAZR came out at a time when there was not a single thin phone and of course it has a damn good deign..it sold like hot cake and still selling..but its moto who is making money. Us, those who bought it..used it..found it rubbish..and moved on.

I dare moto to do a servey on how many of those 50 million RAZR actually sent back to the service center. I'm sure they made another world record there too.
