Just bought the V3i and love it. Only problem is I can't send or recieve mms or hook up to the web and cingular does not support this phone so they are unable(unwilling) to help. Does anyone have the solution yet?

Anyone know if this phone's MMS and GPRS features work in the USA? Specifically on the CINGULAR network? I just bought it (being shipped here now) and I think I may have made a horrible mistake if the pic and data services won't work here. :-( Please respond if you know the answer. Thank you very much!! dbirth343@aol.com

To SG: I appreciate the feedback... Someone said something about reformatting the phone and giving it a name to solve the problem of the phone not being able to recognize the mp3 files that I send to its sd card. Does that work? Also, could you pls give me the url where I could download the itunes player? Tx a lot

one doubt. i heard somebody saying razr battery stays for only 2 days for normal use. is that the case with razr v3i also. Also some mentioning was made abt the charging process. Has somebody faced a similar situation.
                  Thanks,

Whoever said good things don't fit in small boxes was obviously very very wrong. This phone is so stylish, so compact and believe me - I have no problems slotting it into my box. The camera and the video capture on this phone are amazing, but I have to say my only disappointment is that I was expecting the phone to have a RAZOR which I was going to use to shave my hairy beaver. A bit misleading to called it a Motorola RAZR - don't you think.

I have had this phone for almost a month now. The most interesting feature is the I-pod system. It is fantastic. I connected it to one of the USB speakers and the result was a complete suynd machine. Well done. The metal casing is the best point as it never lose colour and it is always new not likew the V3x plastic case which is sticky!!.

I recommend this phone to all.

Hello: I bought the V3i ITunes Deluxe 1 week ago, and i think it's great, the only problem i have is to use it with the Mobile Phone Tools via Bluetooth, the error is: Can't configure the Comm port. If someone knows what can be, please let me now.

                            Greetings from Argentina, Eliana!

I had this phone for the past 3 months. So far no problem. To download the mp3 files you have to use the i-tunes to store the songs. presently only 50 songs can be downloaded into the I tunes,. This is the agreement between Motorola and Apple. There is a new version with Motoplayer instead of I tunes but maximum -100 songs.
The audio quality is crispy clear and compact when I compared with My Samsung X700 , K750i and even N70.( try it if you dont believe ).
But using the earpiece , however , it cant beat SE 800.

If you set a specific ringtone to a caller - when the caller sms you , you will received the same assigned tone. So far I had explore and there is no way to have a "beep" tone to a caller with an assigned ringtone.

The Camera is not as good as Samsung, SE and Nokia tough it is 1.23 mp. Video recording can be set for MMS or unlimited - depend on your memory card. But the playback not that good.

For pic , if you are reciving pict of about 100kb or above , the hp will not able to read it. The only way for you to store in the phone is to download the pic in the computer and use the motorola tools that comes with a CD, to transfer the file to your phone. The tools will reduced the pict and will able to store it in the phone - troublesome.

The metallic material for the button is not easily smudges compare to V3 or L7.

For missed call , motorola v3i dont have any specific function for it. If there is a miss call , you will notice numbers without any "tick" on the "Received call" function. No tick means "miss call" and with "tick" answered call. The same caller can make 10 miss call , but the phone will only captured one - the latest time - you will not be able to see the time of the other 9 calls. So when you recieved miss call ( without tick ) dont think that it is only one call. It can be 10 or 20 calls that the poor person made to you. The engineer who design this need to give a little knock on the head.

If any Motorola enginer are reading this , I hope they can have an audio player with unlimited songs. Defeat the purpose of buying bigger memory card when only 50 songs can be downloaded.
The picture album interface is bad and I doubt so those who buy it will store a lot of photo in their Motorola V3i. But for songs its worthwhile.
And please improve you call register (miss call )interface.
Overall is a good phone if you can cope with these little flaws. Dropped it twice , once with casing and one wihtout, about the waist height. So far its still working perfectly.

Hi. Is there any way to using the memory card to save ur contacts on? the phone only takes 1000 entries in total. I have about 1500, which doesnt fit on the phone itself. If I could somehow make it save the contacts on the memory card, it would be great.

to jose: about your issue of trnasferring mp3 files from pc to phone. first, i believed you've installed the motorola phone tools okay with your mobile phone. same what happened to my v3i. I won't be able to use the USB connection to transfer mp3 files. So, i used bluetooth connection. Its slow, but it gets the job done.

I bought the v3i 2 weeks ago. I'm situated here in Manila. Everything going fine except that i have trouble accessing the mp3 files i downloaded from my pc going to the phone's sd card. It simply shows NOTHING when i look for the mp3 files in the digital audio player of this phone. Anyone knows how to go about this? Just post it pls. Thanks a lot!
