i am planning to buy this phone,,,, next day,,,for my brother..is it ok? is the mp3 plays gud? and also...is the micro SD card, function well? to the phone?

The v3i supports micro sd cards, the v3 doesn't, that's how u would know the difference.

I give up. Motomidman and skiman cannot recognise my phone even though the PC does. This in spite of installing drivers. V3i is a great phone and does well generally as a phone. But flexibility and easy of installing skins and apps is what motorola should address.
Sorry folks this is my final statement and i am out of this forum. I'll use the V3i till am able to trade it in for a better phone.

I have Motorola V3i. this phone really sucks... i have given it for service for more than 4 times in the past 1 year. My problem is if i press any keys. it gets switched off. some one please help me...

Motorola v3i is nice mobile .. but why dont u improve your battery backup problem .

@arifeen.Thanks.now i know that the v3i version i have is the one with digital audio player.and thanks for saying its better player than iTune.
another thing, if i updated my software, is it possible the player will i have is iTune or same player?

Heres a
I have my v3i without itunes
instead it is provided with a digital audio player which is quite good than itunes
I can easily sincronise it with Windows media player 11.
No problem at all
But hte battery life is not durable
OFFFF!
Can't motorola improve it?
Even RAZR2 V9 is also providing 3.30 hours of talktime
How can moto think of gaing the market with that kind of product when sony - ericsson offers 10 hours of talktime and 30 hours of music plyback time

you can put memory card in it, don't need to switch phone off either, just remove the back cover and put/change there. Uses MicroSD

I like the phone but I hate that you can't put a memory card in it. the speaker is broken very quickly. But its easy to use and very comfortable.

please help im confuse.. how do i know that the v3i that i have is the onehas an iTune version?is it really true that there is a 2 version of V3i?v3i with iTune and without iTune.which v3i has an iTune which has not?
lets say my phone has an iTunes version? do i need to install it?how will i do it?Please help me.give me the intstruction.

@lolita Isabel - you can't say this phone sucks simply because it will not work with a 3G SIM card. I hate to point out the obvious, but 3 is specifically a 3G network, meaning their SIM cards will only ever work in a 3G-enabled handset, which the V3i isn't, nor has it ever claimed to be. It's not just this phone - try putting your SIM card in any normal GSM handset, and they won't accept it either. If you don't like it, change your network maybe...

it sux!! i cant use my 3 sim card on this phone. why cant they make all phones to be compatible to all the networks!?!? i have to carry 2 phones with me all the time!!!!!!!

This phone is able to deliver 7-8 hours talktime?1 GB memory ?
How i want to know and understand
But the phone is really great for fashionable mind,for technology u cannot afford to this phone
The camera is enough for casual style,
Remember,the mobile is made with "Mobile with camera,not Nokia or Sony's Camera with mobile option
Take care and don't try nto modify it too much
