I am wondering if all v3is have the mp3 player. Specifically, I want the gold one (not D&G) but the mp3 is not listed in the specifics. Someone please let me know.

Well I like the style of this phone, very smart, nice and slim. Some things I don't like, it doesn't have the cell site ID displayed like the Nokias and others. There is no file management system, like on the Nokia 6600 I used before. It's easy to manage photos and videos in separate folders for easy recall in the Nokia. In the V3i, there are albums, but they are included with the photos and can't be accessed separately, so with lots of pics, it's hard to find them as you have to scroll thru all the pics. It's easy to accidentally to delete a photo, there is no confirmation prompt like in the Nokia. I find the Nokia's menus easier to use, too. I don't use iTunes, I download music and copy it (via USB) into the phone and they are stored in the 'sounds' folder. I play them and the internal spkr provides quite good sound quality for it's miniscule size. I don't like the analogue clock, but still prefer it to the digital. The camera takes good pics, but the zoom feature is unusual, with full size pics, (usually 300k+) the full size zoom is a bit larger than the standard size. If the pic is smaller, the zoom is better, but it takes soooo long to pan the image, so annoying. The '6600 has better zoom features for viewing, and is eaier to pan acoss the image. The V3i has a better camera zoom feature, up to 8x, although the pixel quality is lower with a larger zoom setting. Yes this phone has some great features which I do like but some of it's menu operation could be improved. Still deciding to keep it or keep the 6600.

I bought V3i about 6 month ago with RM 850 in Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia. It's superb ultra slim phone with metal shell althought itunes sincronising is a painstaking process. Once my v3i got problem with ringtone mute but luckily while browsing Motomodder's forum, the problem solved by off the phone and pulled out batteries for several minutes.
I'm very like to use v3i as a sound recorder by using it's video recorder with my palm closed the camera view. I extract the sound by converting - 3gp to wav to amr. Hoping all Razr will have true audio amr recorder someday.
The mp3's sound are crisp and clear but it's only itunes 50 songs limited. Without itunes sincronised, the phone are easy to use as usb mass storage. Razr are still nice if the old Audio Player with the humble playlist like in L7.
Anyway i'm still love my v3i very-very much until the next Razr specs with 4G, wifi, video 30 frames per second and 4 gb memory card arrived!

To put it simple, all V3i's features are either good or bad. If you like the design and the price is affordable, go for it.
(in Thailand, it drops to 200-220 US$)

Hi peeps! Question: Has anyone actually tried using a 1Gb card in the V3i? I'm expecting more from this phone. I've tried Motorola's email support and their answer is very unclear. Technically it's supposed to and I believe the website is either correct or has not been updated after the release of the 1Gb microSD.

if it makes things easier, on the actually Motorola website it says it can only take up to 512mb memory cards. Go to the link below and click on technical specifications:
