I used 1GB Kingston microSD and worked fine. Never tried bigger than that.

mom (huh? hehe..), I had the same problem too when opening pictures taken from other phone, normally phones with bigger MegaPixels than V3xx's. As far as I'm concerned, there was no way of resizing the pictures, even to resize pictures taken from the phone itself.
PS: I used past tenses since I no longer using this great phone (*sob*). Time passed, and I moved on.. :D

having trouble with pictures. Pics on memory card, when try to open says too big to open.. Anyway to reformat??? or change size?? Son has samsung slide and his will open pics. Help???

Am a big fan of motorola aspecially the RAZR series,at the moment am having a V3 but am interested in the V3xx. One thing i want 2 know is what is the phone internal memory and memory card capacities respectively?

I had this phone for a little over a year and it's number 3 and 6 buttons stopped functioning. Even the navigation button in the middle stopped working. Pure crap.

I purchased MotoRAZR V3 three years before. It was working with out any issue till last year but started getting the BATTERY PROBLEM.
"I charge the mobile daily for the entire night" but the batter goes down if I use the phone for 15 minutes. Because of this problem I approached the service center and got the new batter BUT still the problem persist !!!!
I am not sure whether it is the battery problem (or) phone problem. ANY WAY it is a useless phone.
What is the use of phone with out proper talk time (or) standby time ?.

Been using this phone for 13 months now. I'd give:
4.5/5 stars for style
3/5 for functionallity
4/5 for call functions
Boo!:
Battery life sucks big time! Lasts 1 day after each charge. Changed the battery, still the same problem. I solved it by switching off 3G network. Let it run on 2G/2.5G. Got max 3 days each charge of 2 hours from flat to full. Better still, don't switch your sim card to 3G. I'll go on 3G when making video calls only, which, very rarely.
Can't rename mp3 files, can't sort files. No recurrence alarm. Can't create new folder. Can't save sound file in any desireable folder. Can't resize picture taken from its camera (if on Large setting) for picture messaging (MMS).
Yayy!:
Superb reception, good speakers (not the loudspeaker for playing music, though) and mic. Nice, sharp screen resolution. Black, thin and stylish. Can set ringstyles (vibrate/silent/loud/etc.) without opening the unit. Love the flat metal keypads with blue illumination linings. Can install Java programs (ie Opera). Good camera even for a 1.3MP. I LOVE MOST: missed call and new message reminder - beeps every 5 minutes, which can be disable if you want to.
Tip:
Buy a good screen protector for both internal and especially the external screen. Scratch marks give you heartache. Mine is as new :).
Being a former SonyEricsson W550i user (for 1.5 years), I'd say this phone is slightly behind the SE for phone functions and capability, but a step forward in style and outlook.

You know kids, every question I see on here tells me you don't even know what the User Manual looks like. If you would look through the Manual, all of your questions would be answered.
This is an excellent cell phone. The call quality is clear, and the battery holds a charge as long as any other cell phone. It works especially well if it hasn't been dropped on the concrete multiple times or fallen into a bucket of water.
