Upgraded to ICS OTA and it works flawlessl... moreHi Men, this is a very common thing in every cellphone withe power chipset as Razr has, and is debt to the chipset actually, but this will change with the new krait architecture in the new chipsets, the thing is if you dual core or two cores currently you cannot run those at different clockspeed, so if you are gaming for one side and in background you have running whatever even if this process don't need 1.2 ghz to work well it will work this speed because the game has the other core working in this speed. yasri, 19 Sep 2012hi can anyone please tell me which one will be better xt910... moreXperia S is a new phone which was released just a few months ago whereas the XT910 was released last year. I have both phones. The Xperia S runs faster in benchmark such as Antutu, quardrant, passmark and even vellamo. But the recent Razr ICS 4.0.4 update has provided an UI experience very close to stock ICS in the Galaxy Nexus. I feel the UI experience for ICS is better for the Razr but the speed and camera wise are Sony. Battery power seems to be just a little better in Razr perhaps due to TIOMAP chip set vs Snapdragon S3, but not that big of a different overall. The razr has expendable memory up to 48GB. ie (16+32), but the Xperia S comes with only 32Gb with only 25GB usable. So, depends on what features are important to you, then make your selection. Hope this help.

hi can anyone please tell me which one will be better xt910 or xperia s? xperia s is better in all aspects including camera, screen, music, display features, dedicated cam button etc but i really like moto razr's kevlar used at the back and the thinness of the phone. please tell which one would be better

Excellent phone. Upgraded to ICS OTA and it works flawlessly. The only cons is... well, there is none. Oh yeah, sometime, when i dock it in the car, it can overheat. Phone become very hot. It doesnt impact the performance but i dont think its a good thing for the phone.

sageb1, 16 Sep 2012Question: has ur Razr XT910 been upgraded to ICS?I received the ICS uppdate a couple of weeks ago. It was an OTA update, I received a notification and away it went. It did take a couple of hours after the download for the phone to come back to life - must have something to do with all the software I have installed.
Overall - a pleasurable experience though have since installed a free dialer and new locked screen widget to enable it's customization.

I'm in UK so got the system version ending in en.EU
Had read about people getting it here since July but nothing available until two days ago for my xt910 checking under, Settings>About phone>System updates
Everything is working fine, some changes to SMS messaging user interface and a few other factory apps which were Moto but think they are now standard ICS system apps. Overall I'm pleased with the changes :)

Clearly Motorola has one of the best standard, next only to apple, of keeping devices updated. Since I bought Moto Razer I have recieved more than 5 updates in past 6 months which include the update from 2.3.6 to 4.0
Every time with new features and absolutely bug free{or I could not find any}.
Now that is how an Android phone should be. :D

Dont underestimate the xt...do a gsm comparison and u will be surprised to c its very worthy choice...moto just do poor o.s. interfaces but always great features with their phones...a massive pity... think ATRIX... worlds most under rated android for its day..

Burton, 11 Sep 2012Motorola released OTA upgrade to ICS for this model on 10.0... moreI got 4.0.4...i dare say its the best of both worlds... an o.s. that's decent enough say to day and still flash app support for my needs. Its important to note i have had some wifi/ data drops but not sure if that's just my unit as i just got it 2nd hand.tried firefox same thing happened. I rebooted phone couple of times and havent had problem appear more then once in 1 day.Cant fault much just minor inconveniences and mostly very reliable ans functional.
